Hello  everybody..  I  am  from  Shillong,  a  small  hill-station  in  NE  region  of  India.  I  am  a  novice  about  aquariums.  I  want  to  learn  the  finer  details  about  aquariums.  The  size  of  the  aquarium  I  have  now  is  given  below:-

 Aquarium  size  (in  centimeters)

Formula  (Length  x  Width  x  Height  divided  by  1000  =  Liters)

                      61x31x31  divided  by  1000  =  58  Liters  (approx)

 58  Liters  =  12.75  Gallons  (UK)

I  have  a  power  filter,  under  gravel  filter,  automatic  heater  of  100watts  &  a  8watt  flourasant  tube  for  lighting.

The  fishes  I  have  are  2  Black  golds,  4  kissing  gouramis,  2  karps  but  the  irony  is  that  the  fishes  are  developing  white  spots,  so  I  have  used  the  anti  itch  blue,  raised  the  water  temp  to  28c  also  added  salt  around  1  tablespoon  per  gallon  (UK)  but  still  some  of  the  fishes  are  just  dying.  I  give  then  food  once  a  day,  I  use  brands  like  Tokyu,  JMD  Dried  worms  etc.  HELP  ME  TO  SAVE  THE  FISHES..

 Regards..

 Hi!  VoodooMonk.
It  seems  you  have  too  many  fish  in  the  tank.
 Try  to  remove  some.  Smile
For  white  spots,  go  through  the  forum.

 Helloo  VoodooMonk,
Welcome  to  the  fascinating  world  of  aquarium.
Just  raise  the  temperature  few  more(30c-  31c)  for  two  to  three  days  or  till  the  white  spots  disappear.
This  is  a  common  problem  when  using  UG  filter.

 Regards,
 Krishna  Raju
