Hi Folks,
It's great to be back home after spending couple of months in Nigeria. I decided to go for a 6 foot planted tank and to make this a journal which might help others who are planning for a large tank.
Tank Specs: 6X1.5x2
Glass: 12 mm Modi Guard (tank made with black silicon)
Filteration: Eheim 2217 & Eheim 2213
Lights: 8 no of T8 tubes. 36 watts each(6 no of  6500 K and 2 no of 8000 K tubes)
Substrate: 8 bags (9lts each) of ADA Africana Soil
Stand and Hood are custom made.
The hood will hold two fans on each side for air circulation.

That's it for now...waiting for the tank to arrive. |

Thanks everyone. I somehow did not like the colour of the stand and decided to change it into black. The stand and hood should be ready with the new look by today.
I am not sure why the pictures are not displaying. I copied the link from flickr and have posted it. Can anyone help to figure out what's wrong with the link.

I also decided on the soil type. It's going to be ADA African Soil.
Amazonia is for sure better than this, but I chose this soil because the plant growth is slow in aficana as compared to amazonia. So this mean less pruning.

| Camy .... what about a Open top tank with Hanging lights?? And if possible re think about MH instead of T8's. Will be waiing for upcoming updates. |
