 Hi  All,

Which  rock  out  of  these  2  would  look  better  with  ada  as  substrate  &  with  HC  cuba  and  dwarf  hairgrass/eriocaulons?

 Cheers,
 Binesh

grey  one  on  the  right  looks  like  a  better  option.  was  trying  to  visualise  your  complete  setup  and  i  "think"  it  would  look  good  with  dwarf  grass.

please  post  the  pics  when  cthe  setup  is  completed.

I  cant  say  good  or  bad,  but  it  depends  on  how  nicely  you  can  utilize  them  in  your  scape.

But  the  wood  rocks  to  a  certain  extent  have  desirable  textures  unlike  the  grey  granite.  Again  it  all  depends  on  you,  how  well  you  can  use  your  imagination  to  stack  a  set  of  rocks  together.

ha  ha  ha.  so  true.  I  have  found  after  creating  two  semi  success  scapes  that  unless  you  go  hunting  for  that  perfect  wood/rock  and  instead  try  your  best  with  whatever  you  have  at  home,  chances  are  that  you  will  never  get  that  perrrrrfect  hardscape.  so  still  i'd  suggest  that  go  slow  and  try  to  collect  good  wood/rocks  and  then  try  to  rescape.

 Hi  Binesh,

I  have  to  agree  with  Deb!   I  guess  he's  being  nice  by  using  nice  words  but  IMO  the  rocks  are  just  ridiculous.

I  hope  you  don't  mind  what  I  said  because  IMO,  you  are  just  compromising  on  the  scape  by  using  these  rocks.

You  are  using  ADA  substrate  (Expensive)  and  HC  (again  expensive  plant)  and  most  probably  you  will  be  spending  on  works  too  (Lighting  system&  CO2);  so  why  compromise  on  the  hard  scape.

Please  change  the  hard  scape  to  do  wonders  with  this  tank.

I  apologize  if  my  language  made  you  feel  bad.

 Regards,
 Surya

Choose  the  one  which  you  like  the  most.  After  all,  you  are  the  one  who  is  going  to  see  the  tank  every  day  not  us   Smile

All  said  and  done,  I  agree  with  amit.  Use  the  one  you  want  eventually  this  is  your  tank  and  for  your  personal  viewing  pleasure.  all  the  best.  do  post  the  pics  once  the  setup  is  complete.

i  mean  no  offence  to  anyone  so  kindly  do  not  take  it  in  a  bad  way.
the  point  is  never  that  if  it  is  my  tank  then  i  will  decide  whatever  i  would  use  in  it.  because,  if  this  was  the  case  then  why  would  someone  post  a  query  in  IAH  asking  that  which  one  looks  better  etc.   and  at  the  end  of  the  day  if  someone  is  not  able  to  procure  enough  hardscape  materials  then  he  is  always  free  to  use  what  he  has.

the  question  is  asked  in  good  spirits  and  the  answers  are  also  in  good  spirit.  some  people  feel  that  with  all  that  money  spent  on  the  tank  it  will  be  great  if  Binesh  looks  around  to  find  a  good  piece  of  wood  or  rock  so  that  the  scape  looks  perfect.  after  all  we  want  to  see  the  scape  at  its  best.

Also,  binesh's  last  scape  was  really  great.  what  we  feel  is  that  now  it  is  time  to  move  forward  and  that  is  what  we  are  suggesting  Binesh   Smile

It  depends  on  the  position  of  stone  in  the  aquarium  and  aquascape.  Your  idea  can  make  every  stone  beatiful.
