I didnt read the post completely, going by some glances and the topic though!
For my freshwater stocking tanks i'm going with drip irrigation system with autoflush excessive water. Wherein it constantly changes water in required amounts making it an automoted system. But in India these days Municipal corps uses chloromine instead of chlorine. Hence have synced arduino based dosing of hypo with appropriated water dispensed quantity.
Especially folks here claim that discus require special care and are sensitive fish as far as water quality and other parameters are concerened.
Its absolutely flase whatever claim they make, its about simplifying things up. In this era of technology you pick up your siphon pipe and bucket to do water changes. How outdated fish keeping could be?
