Yeah,  can  see  it  in  the  first  picture,  the  outlet  has  to  drain  by  gravity,  you  should  be  ok  once  you  place  it  in  the  sump  or  at  a  higher  level  outside.

i  am  HAPPY  !!!!!!!!!!  seems  like  patience  is  rewarding  but  need  lot  more  patience  to  get  it  going

finally  no  leaks  in  the  piping.

today  afternoon  worked  about  4  hours  on  the  tank,  final  cleaned  the  glasses,  sucked  up  derbies  from  the  bottom  and  cleaned  the  sump.

made  the  saltwater  in  the  sump  and  get  it  going.  filled  the  tank  with  saltwater  and  emptied  the  boxes  of  live  sand  in  to  the  tank.

the  tank  is  still  very  cloudy  but  here  are  the  teaser  pics.

teaser  of  the  roof  top,  office  carpenter  working  on  it.

at  the  moment  just  added  1  T5  just  for  general  viewing,  no  plans  as  of  now  for  adding  more  light.

 any  comments  will  be  appreciated...

 heres  the  update

The  skimmer  is  set  and  working

 Water  level  maintained

Problem  :  the  water  has  started  skimming  and  micro  bubbles  foaming  but  the  foam  is  not  getting  up.....  Soo  when  will  it  start  foaming  ??

Did  the  test  for  the  first  time  today  after  making  water,  test  kit  used  is  API
And  all  the  water  parameters  are  positive.  And  very  near  to  0pp

Water  has  been  cleared  and  now  is  crystal  clear

 Here  goes  a  night  shot

Now  waiting  for  reefractometer  to  come.

Problem  :  still  the  FW  algae  is  not  cleaning  up...  What  to  do  ??

Thanks  for  reading  and  watching.  Critics  are  welcome  and  appreciated.

Umm  the  positioning  of  your  skimmer  is  still  wrong.  Now  the  water  level  is  too  low  which  is  why  the  skimmate  formed  by  the  microbubbles  is  not  overflowing  into  the  cup

I'd  recommend.....  and  this  is  just  my  opinion...you  don't  have  to  listen  to  me....  ROFL  ,  the  following....

Start  with  3  chromis.  Why?  Low  bioload  =  lesser  algae  =   more  time  spent  enjoying  tank  (I  still  have  to  learn  this  part)

Start  feeding  little,  don't  worry  they  won't  starve,  and  then  increase.  Should  you  start  seeing  an  increase  in  algal  growth,  get  it  under  control  before  you  add  more  fish.

And  I  highly  recommend,  get  a  better  skimmer.  This  has  been  done  to  death,  but  seriously,  you'll  have  lesser  worries  in  the  long  run.  Or  you  could  run  chaeto  if  funds  don't  permit.  Either  way,  you  will  have  to  balance  nutrient  export  vs  import.  Each  tank  is  different,  no  matter  how  many  years  experience  you  have,  you  will  get  algae.....  The  experience  part  helps  in  controlling  it  quickly.

So  enjoy  the  hobby,  its  a  challenging  one....     Thumb Up

hahaha  "just  opinion"  liked  the  way  you  mentioned  :D

yes  i  am  not  in  hurry  to  stock  the  tank,  nor  in  hurry  to  solve  the  algae  probs,  will  start  in  slowly  and  as  of  now  no  plans  of  keeping  exotic  and  hard  to  keep  fish.

better  skimmer  is  definitely  on  my  list,  but  not  now  may  be  after  6  months  ll  invest  in  reefoctopus  or  Tunze.

my  next  week  plan  is  to  get  few  live  stone  and  then  get  some  cheatos  in  the  sump,  will  go  to  market  to  buy  the  lights.

i  agree  with  you,  its  the  challenging  one  and  plus  expensive  one  Wink

 thanks
