 Trix,

Ask  Mayur  (IAH  id:  mayurdev)  or  Adip  in  Bangalore.  They  should  be  able  to  help  you  out.

 Tirtha,

I  am  having  brown  algae  on  the  white  pebbles  and  on  the  glass.

Also  some  pebbles  have  green  spots.

I  hope  otocinclus  eats  this  algae.

 Thanks

If  your  aquarium  does  not  have  plants  then  you  can  go  for  a  common  pleco
 you  don't  need  an  otto.

If  yours  is  a  planted  aquarium  then  you  are  welcome  to  get  in  touch  with  me  for  your  requirement.

Will  second  Mayur.  If  it  is  a  non  planted  tank,  no  need  of  ottos.  A  common  Pleco  will  do  the  job.  And  within  month  that  Diatom  will  vanish  as  soon  as  the  Tank  will  be  stable.

And  for  the  Green  Spots,  no  algae  eater  will  help  you.  If  possible  reduce  Light  intensity  and  photo  period  if  it's  a  non  planted  tank.

For  the  first  one.....  Molly,  Barbs,  Wood  Shripms,  RCS  (Most  Probably),  Amano  Shrimps  etc  etc

GBA/BGA:  Gren  Blue  algae  is  not  an  algae  actually,  it's  Cyanobacteria.  No  fish  will  touch  that.  BGA  will  kill  the  plants  and  Fishes  over  the  time.

Reason:  Poor  water  Circulation,  Low  Nitrate,  poor  Water  Condition.

Solution:  Increase  Water  Circulation,  Go  with  Large  water  change,  Spike  up  Nitrate.  If  the  situation  out  of  control,  use  Amoxi  to  kill  it.  Remember  Amoxi  will  wipe  out  the  helpfull  bacterias  as  well.

Sorry,  my  mistake,  I  wanted  to  mean  green  beard  algae  or  beard  algae  by  GBA...Fortunately,  I  do  not  have  the  dreaded  cynobacteria  in  my  tanks...

 Thanks  guys,

My  tank  is  3  months  old.  The  tank  is  2'x1'x1'  (54  liter  /  14  gallon).
 I  am  not  injecting  CO2.
 The  substrate  is  river  sand.
The  tank  is  moderately  planted.  I  have  cabomba,  amazon  sword,  and  HC  cuba  in  a  tray  in  the  tank.
My  lighting  is  14  watts  x  2  PL  lamps  =  28  watts  total

Fishes:  6  cardinal  tetra,  2  german  blue  rams,  4  zebra  danios

I  am  not  going  for  pleco.

What  do  you  suggest,  should  I  buy  ottos?  Anyway  will  otocinclus  do  well  with  my  fishes?
