 Hi  Jaikumar,

 Looks  good.

What  Cichlids  are  you  going  to  put  into  this  tank?    Malawi  or  Tanganyika?

I  would  prefer  a  rock  only  setup  for  a  cichlid  tank.    Thats  my  thought...    Others  might  give  their  opinion.

 Hi
The  BIG  difference  is  their  diet...tropheus  are  vegetarians  and  fronts  are  not    and  also  tropheus  are  best  kept  in  groups  of  around  12  nos  and  they  can  be  quite  aggressive  when  they  reach  adulthood...fronts  are  docile  creatures  and  require  plenty  of  space  to  move  around.IMO,  u  should  either  keep  a  colony  of  tropheus  or  about  6-8  fronts  and  even  then  a  3  feet  tank  might  not  be  sufficient  as  they  grow...
 Rgds

But  in  Madan's  house  I  saw  both  fronts  and  tropheus  in  a  same  tank?  I  wonder  how  modan  manages  it!

If  you  are  talking  about  fronts,  i'd  call  a  4  footer  as  the  minimum.    With  feeding  i  think  it  could  be  compromized  until  you  avoid  taking  100%  meaty  food  like  BH,  BW,  prawns  and  live  fish.    Any  good  quality  pellet/bits  can  substitute  the  dietary  requirements  of  both.

The  food  I  give  my  fronts  and  moori  is  not  available  in  India.

I  have  a  stock  of  them  from  my  trips  abroad.

My  tank  is  a  8  x  2.5  x  3  feet,  even  here  the  fronts  being  piscivores
have  eliminated  quiet  a  few  fish.

All  my  J.  regani,  N.  leleupi,  6  T.  moori,  have  vanished  as  my  frontosa  grew.

 Beware!

In  a  3  footer  I  would  not  add  more  than  6  Juvenile  frontosa  and  no  other
fish,  and  I  will  remove  the  smaller/weaker  frontosa  as  they  grow.
A  3  footer  will  finally  house  one  single  full  grown  frontosa  or  a  pair
 if  you  are  lucky.

 Jai,
I'd  recommend  Lamprologines  and/or  Julies  for  your  setup,  perhaps  with  some  rainbows  as  dithers...
