Hello  Iam  a  novice  in  fishkeeping
I  have  been  using  Chlorine  remover  solution  readymade  from  My  LFS
 My  tank  is  a  24  x  12  x  18  tank
Going  by  the  LFS  guy's  advice  I  have  been  putting  3  cap  around  15-20  ml  of  Hypo  solution  to  the  tank  when  changing  water.
Just  yesterday  I  got  my  hands  on  around  100  gms  or  HYPO  crystals  around  3  mm  cubes  each

Should  I  drop  in  the  crystals  into  the  aquarium  when  changing  water  or  should  the  water  be  pre-treated  with  the  crystals  before  changing.
If  so  how  much  crystals  should  go  in  every  litre  of  water?

I  read  somewhere  (dont  remember)  that  the  aquarists  dropped  in  the  crystals  directly  into  the  aquarium  when  changing  the  water.
Wont  the  Chlorine  present  in  it  affect  the  fish  before  the  crystals  act  on  the  chlorine

 Please  advice.

 rishu

Just  add  one  crystal  for  every  ten  gallons  of  water  immediately  after  adding  water. This  is  just  an  approximation  we  use  in  our  tanks  every  day.
The  size  of  the  crystals  varies  widely,so  use  your  discretion  in  this  matter  making  it  a  point  not  to  overdose  it  under  any  circumstances.
 Good  luck!

I  would  think  so  too!  Id  suggest  you  de-chlorinate  water  in  a  bucket  and  add  it  to  aquarium  after  2-5  mins.
