So  the  first  culture  goes  to  Naveed.  Nice  chap..
 Thanks  to  Mr  Krishna.

Preparations.  White  worms.  Very  good  food  for  tetras, bettas,  guppies  even  discus  etc.
 1)  Get  peat  and  boil  the  peat  for  15  minutes  in  hot  water.
 2)  Get  two  transparent  boxes  with  lid.  The  good  once.
 3)  Get  rid  of  the  tanins  and  store  the  peat  in  the  plastic  container.
 4)  drop  the  worms  inside  and  fed  them.
 5)  Don't  make  holes  in  the  box  lid.  Just  open  the  box  every  day.  If  you  are  on  vacations  ..make  tiny  holes.

 Food  for  them.
Get  white  bread  and  milk  cream  or  card.  Put  it  on  the  peat.  And  cover  the  box  with  thin  cloth.  So  the  flys  cannot  lay  eggs.

Please  update  your  locations  here  if  u  want  the  culture.  Only  hobbyists  are  welcome.

 For  Grindals.
 Preparations.
 1)  Get  scotchbrites  and  boil  the  it  for  15  minutes.
 2)  Get  two  transparent  boxes  with  lid.  The  good  once.
 3)  Get  rid  of  unwanted  chemicals  and  store  them  in  the  plastic  container.  Bottom  layer  will  be  aquarium  cotton.  Used  in  filters.that  will  preserve  the  moisture  in  the  bottom.  Good.  For  them.  Drinking  and  stuff.
 4)  drop  the  worms  inside  and  fed  them  oats.
 5)  Don't  make  holes  in  the  box  lid.  Unless  you  are  going  vacation.
 Food  for  them.
Oats,   cornflakes  or  soyabean  atta.  And  any  fish  food.

 For  harvesting.
always  put  a  hard  transparent  plastic  sheet  on  top  of  the  food.
 #  after  dropping  the  food  on  culture  box  wait  for  ten  minutes.  You  will  see  the  worms  crawling  on  the  sheet.
 #  take  out  the  plastic  sheet  and  dip  it  in  water.  The  fish  will  enjoy  the  wigglers.

 Tips  and  tricks.
 #  dont  over  feed  the  worms  or  your  culture  might  crash.
 #  don't  make  it  too  wet  or  your  culture  might  crash.
 #  feed  them  to  your  fish  once  or  twice  a  week  or  they  might  not  touch  the  pallets.
 #  feed  them  stuff  them  with  good  fish  food  on  the  day  you  planning  to  harvest.
 #  white  worms  like  cooler  temp.  But  not  in  your  fridge.
 #  mites  will  attack  the  culture  and  will  compete  for  food.  Don't  worry  they  are  also  good  food  for  tetras.
 #  make  two  cultures  box  each  for  good  harvest  and  for  safety.
 #  keep  the  culture  boxes  covered  with  cloths  so  no  flys  cant  get  in  and  lay  eggs.
 #  flys  will  get  attracted  if  their  is  rotting  food  in  your  culture  box.  So  dont  overfeed.
 #  remember...worms  will  sink  and  mites  will  float.
 #  again  ...  do  not  overfeed.
 #  keep  sharing..so  that  you  can  get  it  back  if  your  culture  crashes.

Please  comment  if  you  have  any.Smile
