 Hi,

I  am  really  confused  I  am  trying  to  setup  a  new  layout  and  can't  decide  which  one  to  choose  between:
 "Hemianthus  callitrichoides"  and  "Glossostigma  elatinoides".
I  have  been  able  to  grow  "Glossostigma  elatinoides"  in  the  past  but  would  like  to  try  out  HC  "Cuba"
How  would  it  be  for  a  large  scape?

How  is  the  long  term  maintenance  of  the  two  compared,  as  in  which  one  is  easier  to  maintain?

I  believe  HC  cuba  is  slower  growing  than  the  Glosso.,  but  for  me  I  think  that  is  a  plus,
I  don't  wanna  be  trimming  ever  so  often  and  I  am  okay  with  tanks  taking  their  time  to  mature.

The  tank  is  kinda  high  tech.  so  I  am  confident  in  growing  both  of  them,  just  can't  decide  which  one.
ADA  Amazonia,  Co2  Pressurised,  Lights,  Timer  etc.

The  issue  is  that  I  really  like  glosso,  but  I  would  like  to  try  HC  Cuba  as  well,  as  once  before  3  pots  of  those  perished....and  I  love  the  tiny  leafs  of  HC  "cuba"

Please  make  some  suggestions  which  will  help  me  decide.

 Thanks  a  lot.

SIr  for  a  experianced  guy  like  you.Go  for  HC  cuba.
What  I  did  for  a  safer  side  is  I  took  a  small  portion  of  my  HC  and  started  an  emersed  growth  setup.
It  is  easy.  So  I  help  the  plant  growth  by  adding  more  HC  from  my  emersed  groth  set  up  time  to  time.
Also  if  it  fails  for  the  first  time  in  your  thank  you  still  have  back  up  HC.

^^  whats  the  maximum  temp.  for  Glosso,  though  it  does  get  warm  here  the  tank  is  an  a  lobby  where  there  is  an  AC  most  of  the  time,  but  yeah  nonetheless  I  should  be  careful.  Please  advise.
Will  it  survive  at  about  26.c-28.c  max??

 Go  for  HC.........

Need  high  light  as  well  as  high  CO2.  Also  water  temperature  should  be  as  low  as  possible.

^^  I  have  been  able  to  grow  mats  of  Glosso.  thats  not  been  a  problem,  and  only  on  Excel  that  too  without  and  pressurised  or  DIY  Co2.  Had  gotten  some  from  a  member  here.  But  yes  that  was  during  winter  months.

I  am  looking  for  tips  on  HC  as  I  have  lost  3  pots  once.

Not  true.  I  just  prefer  knowing  facts  rather  than  vague  comparisons,  like  "needs  cool  water",  "good  in  winter  months",  "Bhopal  temperature."  I  have  no  idea  what  the  above  3  phrases  mean  at  all,  cause  it  can  differ  a  lot  from  person  to  person  and  their  geographical  location  as  well.  I  rather  have  statements,  like  "Below  29'c"  etc,  or  know  the  temperature  from  someone  who  checked  their  temperature,  rather  than  knowing  it  did  not  survive  in  summer  at  all,.  which  is  of  no  help  really.
