Your  tank  is  not  cycled, hence  the  fish  are  dying.Cycle  your  tank, read  up  on  the  net  and  don't  add  any  fish  till  you  tank  is  cycled.  Adding  an  internal  power  filter  with  sponge  media  will  clear  out  the  cloudiness  in  a  few  hours.

 Hi  Raj,

 First  things  first.

Please  don't  buy  any  more  fishes.

Since  you  already  have  added  food  n  fishes  to  your  tank  dont  do  any  more  water  change.
Your  top  filter  which  come  in  those  molded  tanks  should  have  filter  floss  you  can  add  some  bio  rings  or  sponge.
Run  the  filter  for  few  days  non  stop.
If  you  have  any  hobbyist  near  by  your  place  who  has  a  tank  take  some  gunk  from  his  filter  and  add  it  into  yours  to  begin  the  fish  less  cycle.
If  that  is  not  possible  just  run  the  filter  for  a  week.

For  the  bacterial  to  colonize  it  could  about  1-2  weeks  based  on  size  of  tank,  water  and  bio  bacteria  bloom.
After  a  week  do  50%  water  change  and  add  some  hardly  fishes  into  the  tank  -  After  an  hour  of  drip  acclimatization  of  the  fishes.
If  the  fish  survives  24  hrs  do  another  20  %  WC  and  give  it  another  24hrs.  and  then  you  can  start  adding  your  fishes  after  doing  drip  acclimatization  only.

Also  if  you  have  not  understood  any  of  these  please  google  and  get  info.  Also  do  some  reading  before  you  buy  fishes  dont  mix  multi  region  fishes  in  one  tank.   Do  reach  out  if  you  need  any  additional  help.

 Happy  fish  keeping  ...Cheers  !!!

 Hi  Raj,

Cycling  is  the  most  important  part,  which  we  beginners  always  ignore.

As  VJ  suggests,   kindly  follow  the  process.

 Most  importantly,  have  some  patience.
We  always  love  to  have  the  fish  in  place.  However,  the  most  important  part  is  the  cycling  phase.
This  forms  the  basis  of  your  tank

Being  a  beginner  I  had  lots  of  trouble  in  the  initial  stages  too.  But,  slowly  I  got  a  hang  of  it.  (Most  beginners  struggle  too  Wink  )

You  could  read  through  the  link  below  for  understanding  the  process:
 http://www.firsttankguide.net/cycle.php

You'll  find  lots  of  online  references  too!

 Kind  Regards,
 Karthik

 Smile  Hi  Rajkumar

 Welcome  to  IAH

show  us  a  picture  of  your  tank.

You  have  to  mix  local  water  with  RO  water  50/50-

Your  water  is  already  filtered  for  drinking-  so  you  have  to  bring  it  down  for  fish  keeping

Saar!  Please  follow  this  zimple  shortcut,  saar...

 1.  Take  the  fish  out  from  your  tank  and  drain  all  water.  Keep  your  filter  sponge  and  fish  in  another  aerated  container  temporarily,  with  50-50  old  and  new  water.

 2.  Run  to  your  LFS  area  and  find  a  good  established  planted  tank.  Buy/beg/borrow  5-10  litres  of  water  from  that  tank.  Otherwise  find  a  Chennai  member  in  this  forum  who  can  help  out  with  the  same.  Be  back  in  front  of  your  tank  with  this  water  within  1-2  hours.

 3.  Then  add  new  dechlorinated  water  in  the  tank  and  also  pour  in  the  planted  tank  water.  Reintroduce  your  single  fish,  filtration  etc...

 4.  Also  add  nitrate  hogging  plants  like  Frogbit,  Hornwort  (Ceratophyllum  demersum),  or  Water  wisteria  (Hygrophila  difformis).

 5.  After  2-3  days,  add  whatever  other  fish  you  want.

Water  from  planted  tank  -  what  is  the  use  of  that?

Nitrate  hogging  plants  -  what  good  will  it  do  as  well?  Fishes  are  dying  due  to  ammonia/nitrite  poisoning,  nitrate  is  far  far  less  toxic

 @Op

Just  have  a  read  in  google  about  fishless  cycling.  Nitrifying  baqcteria  converts  ammonia  to  nitrite,  then  nitrite  to  nitrate.  We  do  water  changes  in  fresh  water  systems  to  reduce  nitrate  as  anaerobic  bacteria  mostly  does  not  form  in  freshwater  systems.  In  marine,  live  rocks  and  deep  sand  beds  do  grow  anaerobic  bacteria  to  convert  nitrates  to  nitrogen  gas.

To  have  bacteria  population  -  it  takes  4-6  weeks  time.  That  is  the  cycling  period  for  conversion  of  ammonia  to  nitrite  then  nitrite  to  nitrate.  You  should  not  add  fish  during  this  time  as  it  is  inhuman.

Now  for  the  time  being,  do  50%  water  change  each  day  until  and  unless  the  water  looks  clear  enough.  It  will  reduce  ammonia  concentration  in  the  water  until  and  unless  the  bacteria  colony  grows  up.  You  can  use  small  hang  on  back  filters/internal  power  filters  with  lots  of  bio  media  -  sponge,  bio  balls,  ceramic  rings.

If  you  have  no  money  problem,  get  seachem  stability  250  ml  bottle,  this  contains  ready  made  bacteria  and  add  to  filter  media  as  directed.  This  can  instantly  solve  your  water  issue.

 Yuck!  Shocked

 Empty  your  tank.

Clean  every  thing  with  your  local  water.  Your  gravel  may  be  dirty.  Clean  it  with  salt  water  and  then  again  with  your  local  Municipal  Water.  Your  LFS  is  using  local  water  probably,  therefore  it  was  not  suitable  for  fishes.  Wash  your  Sponge  filter  with  local  water.

put  the  gravel  back  in  the  tank.  fill  water  and  start  the  sponge  filter,  let  it  bubble.2  to  3  days  without  fish.  If  still  the  water  is  dull  and  milky  let  it  bubble  for  4  days.  If  possible  use  alum,  dip  it  in  water  and  move  it  round  3  4  times.  This  should  work.
