Ha  ha.  I  didn't  step  on  the  Puntius  bag.  Someone  else  did.  I  was  looking  forward  for  the  P.sharmai  as  well.  Maybe  the  next  time  I  should     step  on  the  bag  and  take  full  credit  for  it.   Idea

Prasoon  has  been  calling  and  asking  for  trips  of  late.  I  don't  know  what  happened.  He  is  even  picking  up  calls, returning  messages  etc.  My  guess  is  he  got  a  pretty  secratary  with  a  rather  butch  voice.

I  was  much  thinner.  Fifteen  kilos  crept  up  due  to  regular  visits  to  some  of  the  smaller  and  tastier  messes  of  good  old  Madras.  Now  who  can  say  no  to  mutton  chukka  ????  Sad

There  was  a  lone  puntius  sharmai  in  my  caridina  gracilirostris  bag.

He  seems  ok  with  rummy  nose,  mountain  minnows,  guppies  and  another  loner  from  the  last  catch  'oryzias  dancena'

Real  good  list  you  got  there.  The  O.cotio  is  the  best   Thumb Up

The  Anabas  also  is  pretty  rare  there,  in  all  my  three  years  I  collected  only  two  specimens.

We  collected  3  specimens  at  around  3.5-4  "  TL  from  a  very  small  area.  Guess  they  were  getting  ready.  Quite  a  few  juvenile  Mystus    and  crabs  as  well.

Fair  enough.  There  better  be  giant  vats  of  it  considering  the  fact  that  we  have  been  waiting  for  years.  Maybe,  served  along  with  emu  for  good  measure.
