set  the  initial  lighting  period  after  planting  at  around  6  hours,  you  don't  need  very  long  hours,  as  the  plants  haven't  yet  establish  themselves.  After  about  3-4  days,  you  can  increase  the  lighting  duration  to  8  -  10  hours  if  you  want  to.  I  would  suggest  8  for  the  time  being,  as  you  have  very  little  plant  mass,  don't  try  to  increase  the  duration,  or  else  you  will  just  invite  algae.

If  you  plant  some  glosso  near  the  aquarium  glass,  you  are  able  to  see  them  rooting  pretty  soon.  It  may  take  few  days  to  a  week  or  2,  to  see  them  grow,  it  all  depends  on  what  form  of  glosso  you  started  with,  if  you  started  with  the  emersed  form,  then  it  usually  take  longer  time  to  grow,  if  it's  the  submersed  form,  within  days  you  can  see  root  growing.  Do  not  worry  too  much  whether  the  grow  or  not  at  this  moment,  as  it  is  only  just  a  few  days  you  started.  Be  patience,  give  it  a  week,  and  you  will  soon  see  some  growth  Very Happy....

Do  monitor  your  water  temperature,  try  to  keep  it  between  25-28C...if  heat  is  an  issue  there,  than  strive  to  keep  it  at  28C,  fluctuation  of  1  degree  increased  during  the  day  is  fine,  do  not  exceed  over  30C.  Tank  your  size,  using  a  PC  fan  can  cool  it  down  few  degrees,  so  find  ways  how  you  can  fit  a  fan  there.  For  now  do  not  on  the  CFL....just  the  PLL  will  do.

Keep  up  the  good  work,  be  patience,  and  everything  will  grow  Very Happy.....by  the  way,  when  the  blyxa  grows,  it  will  cover  the  rock  behind  it  Very Happy.....maybe  you  might  want  to  plant  the  blyxa  behind  the  rock  :D

 ~Cheers   Rock On

 Hello  Hrishi,

The  position  of  your  blyxa  would  eventually  mean  it  will  hide  the  rock/pebble  behind....you  may  want  to  either  move  the  rock  in  front  or  blyxa's  at  the  back.

 what  about  dosing?

 Cheers,
 Binesh
