 Yes,  Karthik.

In  fact  my  pair  just  spawned  yesterday  and  the  female  is  tending  to  the  eggs.  Haven't  taken  any  care  except  that  the  lights  are  switched  off  now  to  avoid  fungus.  Only  two  of  the  eggs  turned  white  whereas  the  eyes  are  clearly  visible  on  the  rest  of  the  clutch.

The  male  has  been  pushed  into  the  farthest  corner  of  the  4  footer  and  the  female  occassionally  takes  a  dig  at  the  male.

Good  colors!  what  is  the  reason  for  them  being  rare  than  Ramirezi  even  being  much  hardy?

Lucky  you!  Rock On   Any  pointers  as  to  how  to  get  them  to  spawn?  Any  special  temperature  adjustments?  Is  your  water  soft?  I  guess  coimbatores  'Siruvani'  (?)  is  a  bit  soft...

M.Ramirezi  is  supposed  to  be  more  delicate  compared  to  M.Altispinosa  although  some  hobbyists  feel  otherwise.   Smile   Then  again,  some  fish  keepers  find  the  German  Ram  a  lot  more  attractive.
If  you  are  commenting  on  my  fish's  colours,  i  guess  it  can  be  attributed  to  NLS   Very Happy  !

 Thanks!
 ...Karthick

Good  luck  raising  the  fry,  Suraj.  My  pair  gave  off  close  to  100  fry.  70  odd  survived.

 Hi  Karthik,

My  water  is  RO,  pH  neutral,  GH  nil,  KH  about  30  ppm.  Temperature-26/28deg.

 Thanks,  Shankar.
I  have  wrigglers  now,  stuck  to  the  glass.  All  the  remaining  eggs  seem  to  have  hatched.
