The  female  does  look  better,  I  will  post  pics  of  her  tonite  and  you  can  have  a  look  at  her  and  advise.

Good  ,  that  she  is  improving  .  it  is  good  for  herself  and  for  her  fries  .

Also  the  Artemia  Hatchery  has  started  hopefully  they'll  get  their  first  meal  tonite.  This  I  hope  would  relief  the  parents  quite  a  bit.

I  am  happy  that  ,  you  now  understand  how  important  is  parent  health  during  nursing  .  relief  the  parents  quite  abit    -  very  very  imp  when  fries  are  continiously  pricking  their  slim  .

Does  the  male  look  ok?  I  mean  I  know  he  doesn't  have  the  best  of  shapes,  but  as  far  as  health  goes?

Male  looks  Ok  ,  no  problem  ,  but  still  try  to  keep  tank  water  as  clean  as  possible  by  regular  WC  as  much  as  possible  .  This  will  help  to  improve  the  health  of  parents  aswell  as  fries  .Alos  Feed  them  finely  grind  BH  .

 Cheers

I  believe  the  difference  was  the  water  if  you  ask  me,  I  went  form  hard  to  soft  peat  water  and  they  started  to  hatch.  And  I  went  to  for  vacation  to  Nilgiris  for  10  days,  my  welcome  back  were  these  wrigglers...So  I  really  did  nothing  special.

How  do  you  use  peat  to  soften  water?   My  discus  are  laying  eggs  but  no  hatch  yet.

That  should  help  you  or  you  can  get  an  RO  or  you  can  buy  RO  water.

First  and  foremost  get  test  kits  and  know  exactly  what  your  water  is  like  before  you  try  to  alter  it.

 Hope  this  helps.

 Day  23:

I  know  I  should  be  separating  the  parents  any  day,
but  till  now  I  haven't  had  the  heart  to   Crying or Very sad  ,  but  its  for  their  own  good  I  know.

 The  story  so  far:

The  seem  to  have  grown  and  look  a  bit  like  'Discus',  most  of  them  have  their  first  band  as  well.
They  are  now  not  afraid  to  be  away  form  the  parents  either.
They  have  started  to  eat  almost  everything  that  can  fit  their  tiny  mouth  from  BBS  to  different  crushed  flakes,
which  is  more  the  reason  I  feel  I  should  separate  them  form  their  Mom  and  Dad.

So  far  6  of  them  didn't  make  it  some  of  them  were  'Sliders'  others  I  have  no  clue,  I  still  have  1  cull,
but  i  don't  think  he  is  going  to  live  much  longer  as  he  has  a  structural  problem  and  cant  swim  properly.
He  now  cant  keep  up  with  the  others  and  is  on  the  floor  half  the  time,  thats  sad  to  see.

So  that  leaves  me  with  about  20-21,  I  still  haven't  been  able  to  count  them  as  the  move  around  too  much.
The  rest  of  them  look  healthy  but  I  still  have  my  fingers  crossed.

 Thanks  for  reading,

 Cheers,

 Nanu

   Thumb Up
