Surya  grew  a  bunck  of   angel  fry  on  microworms,  and  Hikari  first  bites.
BBS  is  the  best  food  though,  IMO.

 Congratulations  !!!
Try  crushed  Hikari  (or  any  other  good  quality)  pellets.  They  will  most  probably  munch  on  it  and  if  they  do,  forget  baby  food   Thumb Up.

Freshly  Hatched  Brine  Shrimp  -  1st  Option  (This  is  a  tedious  process)
Microworm  -  2nd  Option  (This  is  the  easier  option,  only  thing  is  getting  your  hands  on  a  starter  culture)

As  Pradeep  has  mentioned  Surya  has  raised  a  batch  successfully  on  Microworm.

All  the  best  raising  the  fry   Thumb Up

 Hi  Gobu,

Pradeep  and  Seetharam  are  right.  I  have  raised  angel  fries  only  on  micro  worms  and  Hikari  first  bite.

First  thing's  first;  keep  an  eye  on  the  eggs.  If  you  see  eggs  catching  fungus,  use  meth  blue  to  protect  the  rest,  and  if  you  see  the  angels  eat  their  eggs  then  let  them  do  so.  They  do  this  if  they  are  parenting  for  the  first  time  or  if  they  feel  threatened.

All  the  best  in  rasing  the  fry!

Do  let  us  know  if  you  need  any  more  information  and  micro  worm  culture  for  the  same.

 Regards,
 Surya

As  mentioned  earlier,  keep  meth  blue  handy,  to  protect  the  eggs.  I'm  sure  you  will  be  able  to  raise  the  fires  next  time.

 Regards,
 Surya

 @Gobu
make  sure  that  the  parents  are  attentive  to  the  eggs  if  they  loose  interest  seperate  the  eggs  to  a  small  container  because  the  parents  may  eat  the  eggs,
 add  meth  blue,
once  the  fry  become  free  swimming  feed  them  on  microworms  for  the  first  week  then  slowly  gradute  to  newly  hatched  brine-shrimps/microworms  and  after  about  month  slowly  wean  them  on  to  crushed  flake  food.
if  you  cant  get  these  live  foods  try  Hikari  first  bites, though  live  foods  are  a  better  option  if  u  can  get  them

 Hi  Ravi,

You  could  go  through  few  old  posts/google  for  the  recipe  to  grow  micro  worm  .

To  begin  with  you  would  require  starter  culture  from  fellow  hobbyiest  or  someone  who  keeps  them.

 Regards,
 Surya

 Hi  Gobu,

Not  sure  with  the  meth  blue  crystals  but  you  get  the  liquid  form  in  any  LFS  for  5  rs  for  a  small  bottle.

IME,  you  can  dose  the  liquid  meth  blue  when  you  see  the  eggs.  Dose  untill  the  water  turns  blue.

Caution:  Dont  dose  meth  blue  in  a  planted  tank,  tank  that  contains  shrimps,  loaches.  If  they  are  in  acommunity  tank,  then  seperate  them  to  a  bare  bottom  tank  to  do  the  above  mentioned.

 Regards,
 Surya
