 Hello  guys,

They  have  this  thread  for  Marine  fishes.  I  was  wondering  if  we  can  have  one  for  Freshwater  ones.

The  one  fish  I  want,  but  have  not  managed  to  get  in  Bombay  (yet):

Datnioides  pulcher  (Siamese  Tiger)  or  Datnioides  microlepis  (Indonesian  Tiger)

The  one  fish  I  want,  but  don't  have  the  means  to  keep  (yet):
 Arapaima  gigas

The  one  fish  I  want,  and  is  next  on  my  "shopping  list":

 Black  arowana  (Osteoglossum  ferreirai)

 Cheers,
 Sid

PS:  Does  anyone  on  IAH  have  Datnoids  or  Arapaima's  in  their  tanks?

While  I  don't  think  I  have  seen  a  Silver  Datnoid  for  sale  either,  I  want  a  yellow  that  and  preferably  with  well-defined  wide-bars.

 D.  pulcher  is  probably  impossible  to  get  (hence,  definitely  belongs  in  this  thread  Smile  ),  but  I  haven't  seen  D.  microlepsis  (Indo  that)  anywhere  in  most  major  markets  either.

 Cheers,

I  wanted  red  hook  silver  dollar  for  some  time,  never  got  it.
Then  I  looked  for  malawi  eye  biter  for  a  year,  did  not  get  it.  (Now  can't  keep  it  because  I  got  its  cousin,  D.  strigatus)
I  had  also  been  looking  for  rotkeils  for  some  time.  Stopped  doing  so  temporarily  bceause  of  space  issues,  will  see  later  again.

I  know  I  should  have  mentioned  just  one,  but  could  not  choose   Very Happy

Yes,  Black  Aros  are  available  at  several  places  now  (albeit  a  bit  expensive).  I  mentioned  they  are    "next  in  my  shopping  list"    and  not  the  original  "fish  I  want,  but  can't  get"  (That  is  the  Indo  that).
