 mine  is  a  170  liter  tank  (36x14x20).
 i  have
 1  yellow  tail  damsil
 1  Japanese  tang
 1  Koran  angel

shall  I  use  the  trickle  filter.    what  are  its  advantages  .

whats  the  best  way  out  to  have  a  good  water  circulation  through  the  coral  sand.    I  have  a  1200l  p/h  ressun  power  head  for  circulation  .  Is  it  enough  or  do  I  need  a  higher  capacity  one.

considering  you  are  providing  us  with  the  correct  information  -  I  will  never  want  any  water  circulation  in  the  substrate  and  have  a  deep  bottom  tank  -  that  way  you  can  have  a  an-aerobic  bacterial  colony  in  the  sand  and  will  help  you  better.
UGF  is  a  thing  of  the  past  and  is  no  more  recommended!
Please  understand  your  filtration  needs  before  buying  any  filters.
Do  you  seriously  have  live  rocks  in  the  tank  or  were  you  kidding  the  other  day  in  some  other  post?

why  don't  you  guys  meet-up  and  bash  each-other  once  and  for  all!
It  will  help  save  time  and  effort!
anyways,  IMO  you  both  are  sailing  in  the  same  boat  and  both  need  to  go  easy  with  your  set-ups  (marine  hobby  is  not  for  people  with  impatient  attitude)
please  mind  your  language  both  of  you  and  do  your  fighting  in  your  pms!
we  are  all  here  to  discuss  our  problems  and  let's  keep  it  that  way  -  hope  you  both  will  understand  and  oblige!

Looks  like  the  thread  is  going  from  bad  to  worse!
AQUALIFE  and  dr_mozart  please  refrain  from  discussing  anything  other  than  what  the  post  title  says  'TRICKLE  FILER'.
Since  both  of  you  seem  to  know  each  other  well  please  continue  your  personal  conversation  outside  IAH.
I  will  be  forced  to  lock  this  thread  if  there  are  any  more  unrelated  comments.  Thanks!

thanx  Apurva,  i  remember  reading  that  inverts  esp  needed  a  very  well  cycled  tank,  abt  4-5  months,  for  best  conditions.

 anyway,  thanx  again!

im  sure  this  info  would  also  help  thos  who're  misinfomed  too.
