 Hi  all,
These  are  my  current  tanks  first  one  Community  tank  70  Ltr  and  other  one  is  Betta  tank.  I  started  my  big  tank  a  year  back.  After  seeing  IAH  and  other  forum,  I  fall  in  love  with  planted  tank.  I  will  be  upgrading  this  tank  to  a  planted  tank  with  tetra  fish  where  I  will  need  your  help.  Other  betta  tank  is  my  latest  addition.
1.Please  suggest  good  plant  to  keep  in  betta  tank  where  light  is  very  low
2.My  bigger  tank  is  readymade  tank  with  inbuilt  Hood  and  filter.  While  upgrading  I  am  thinking  to  remove  hood  and  filter  keeping  tank  frame  and  trim  as  it  is.  And  in  upgrade  open  tank,  with  top  mounted  lights  and  external  filter.  Tank  size  23”L  X  12”W  X  15”H  –  70  Ltr.  Is  that  ok  ?

Still  i  am  not  convinced  about  the  size  of  the  tank.....might  be  because  of  the  resizing  of  the  picture.
Anyways  here  are  the  answer  to  your  question.

 1.  The  only  plant  i  had  great  success  in  very  less  light  is  anubias.  But  i  will  not  suggest  you  to  add  any  plant  in  your  betta  tank.
Since  the  tank  seem  to  be  very  small  even  for  a  betta.  i  do  agree  that  betta  will  survive  in  even  lesser  water  but  that  is  a  cruelty  being  done  to  them.
 2.  You  can  upgrade  your  current  tank  to  a  planted  tank.
if  you  can  accept  the  fact  that,  you  just  have  a  glass  frame  and  every  thing  else  that  is  needed  for  the  planted  tank  is  expensive.
The  question  about  your  current  fishes  does  not  exist,  if  you  are  moving  to  a  planted  tank,  since  gold  fishes  are  not  compatible  for  a  planted  tank.
Why  people  say  that  this  tank  is  small  for  the  current  fishes  is  that  both  of  them  will  grow  to  a  size  that  will  create  bio-load  more  than  that  can  be  handled  by  this  tank. Also  i  don't  think  gold  fishes  can  be  kept  with  silver  dollar. If  you  are  going  for  a  non  planted  tank  on  this  choose  either  gold  fish  or  silver  dollar  and  then  add  some  small  compatible  fishes.  It  will  not  only  be  easier  to  maintain  but  good  for  seeing  as  well.
Note  :  When  you  consider  bio-load  of  gold  fish  don't  just  consider  there  size. They  are  like  pigs  they  eat  and  shit  a  lot  Chuckle  .
The  calculation  should  be  10  gallons  of  water  for  first  gold  fish  and  if  there  are  two  gold  fish  you  can  put  them  alone  in  a  15  gallon  tank

Thank  you  jabbaji  for  your  detailed  reply
The  current  fish  I  am  going  to  give  away  to  relative  with  all  setup.  Doller  and  gold  fish  combo  is  mistake  of  lfs  and  those  days  are  before  IAH.
Rather  than  buying  new  tank  I  will  use  same  tank  after  removing  current  hood  and  filter.  I  am  going  to  buy  all  new  equipment  suitable  for  planted  tank.  Also  I  am  planning  to  keep  tetra  in  my  proposed  planted  tank.
About  my  beta  tank.  My  home  and  home  minster  is  not  allowing  me  for  second  tank  hence  i  got  this  smaller  tank   Sad  Betts  looks  happy  in  this  and  I  am  taking  extra  care  for  this  lovely  fish.
