The  plant  on  the  far  right  fore  ground  is  echinodorus  quadricostatos,  if  I  have  spelled  the  name  correctly.  The  vine  ike  plant  on  the  laft  fore  ground  is  brazilian  penny  wort,  if  I  am  not  mistaken.

 Hi  Guys

Having  issues  with  Pennyworth,  the  lowest  stem  which  is  dug  in  the  substrate  seem  to  melt  aways  making  the  plant  to  float  in  a  weeks  time.  Having  this  issues  with  a  couple,  the  other  2  are  firmly  setup  in  the  substrate,  i  think  so  atleast.

Can  somebody  please  confirm  how  these  should  be  planted.

 Thanks
 Harpreet.

 Hi  Guys:

Here  are  a  few  suggestions  from  my  side.

The  plants  to  me  look  like  this:

The  red  one  -  Alteranthra  Renickie
Swords  in  front  _  ech  Quadricostatus  (Foreground  plants)
                                     Ech.  Tenellus.

on  to  the  right  you  have  Hygrophila  difformis

On  to  the  back  it  is  (One  with  big  leaf)  Ech.  Cordifolius

Close  to  the  wood  is  Bacopa.sp

The  one  to  the  left  could  be  Cardamine  lyrata

 Behind  you  have  Valis.

 Now  for  the  scaping:

I  would  suggest  you  do  a  bit  of  pruning  before  heading  for  planting.  I  see  that  most  of  the  plants  are  above  the  substrate  with  just  the  roots  holding  them  to  the  substrate.  When  planting  stem,  plants,  it  would  be  good  to  actually  remove  atleast  2"  of  leaves  in  the  tip  before  planting  them  to  prevent  decaying  of  leaves.  cut  the  stems  to  what  size  will  actually  be  ideal  and  look  aesthetic  in  your  tank.  For  instance,  the  Hyg.Difformis  looks  wild.  You  could  prune  them  to  atleast  half  their  size  and  plant  them.

Planting  one  or  two  stems  of  a  variant  wont  help.  It  would  look  and  be  better  if  you  could  plant  atleast  5  stems  of  each  in  variety.  I  generally  plant  about  3  stems  in  a  bunch  to  make  it  look  nice  and  lush  and  plants  2  or  3  such  bunches  leaving  2  inch  spacing  between  the  bunches.

Finally,  you  definitely  need  lot  of  plants  more  as  the  tank  is  planted  very  thin.

 Thanks  for  your  response  Venkat!!!

Will  keep  in  mind  to  prune  before  next  planting  and  also  to  remove  the  lower  2  inch  of  the  plants  before  planting  them…  As  mentioned  I  have  already  prune  Hyg.Difformis  from  mid  level  and  have  planted  it.  Will  also  try  to  increase  the  no  of  plants  very  soon..

On  thing,  the  grass  on  the  left-back  side  is  not  valls,  but  some  thing  else,  the  LFS  lady  told  me  that  it  is  know  as  tall  grass  which  obviously  just  seems  like  a  local  name…

Any  suggestion  the  lights  as  both  of  my  lights  should  be  in  the  6500K  range.  Have  issues  keeping  the  lower  leaves  of  Hyg.Difformis  Red.

Any  suggestions  for  Co2  reactor/diffuser  as  I  am  not  sure  how  well  mine  is  working.

I  am  still  facing  a  green  spot  algae,  hair  algae  on  leaves  and  lots  of  suspended  particles  in  the  water..  I  do  about  30-40%  WC  every  weekends…

 Thanks
 Harpreet.

 Hi  Folks

But  I  can  still  hair  alage  aagin  in  my  tank  and  also  some  white  spots  in  the  glass  walls.

Can  somebody  please  advice  what  needs  to  be  done.  Will  try  posting  a  pic  today  evening.

 Guys

Need  some  urgent  help.  I  have  been  facing  lots  of  issues  with  algae  so  wasnt  dosing  anything.  Yesterday  the  water  was  loking  bit  whitish  however  i  went  ahead  and  does  only  1-1.5  ml  of  Microsol-B  and  today  the  tank  was  water  was  very  white.  The  visibility  is  so  bad  that  that  i  cant  see  anything  say  after  3-4  inches.  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad     Sad

The  current  photo  period  is  10am-6PM.
 Co2:  Sugar-yeast.
I  changed  about  60-65  %  of  water  but  the  result  was  the  same  a  before  the  change  almost  immediately.

I  am  not  sure  but  I  think  I  had  a  similar  problem  when  I  used  to  dose  microsol-b  prepared  solution.  (  except  the  algae)
I  prepared  a  fresh  one  and  started  using  it  and  the  problem  went  away.
Where  and  how  do  you  store  your  microsol-b  prepared  solution?

 Hi  Rohan

I  store  the  Solution  in  a  coll  &  dark  place..  But  yeas,  i  think  i  had  goofed  up,  i  had  added  K2so3  &  Kno3  in  the  microsol  solution  in  some  ratio  which  i  dont  recollect.

However  said  this,  i  was  using  the  same  Microsol-B  solution  in  my  earlier  Nano  and  has  never  any  issues.

 Thanks

Look  along  the  length  of  the  tank  (  through  the  side  glass)  you  have  green  water  actually.

DIY  CO2  is  the  cause,  along  with  lots  of  light.

Add  1/2  teaspoon  of  KNO3  with  your  water  changes.  It  might  help,  I  am  doubtful  though.
