Any  update  on  breeding?  It  appears  to  me  that  it  has  been  some  time  now  you  have  been  keeping  them,  you  may  already  have  next  gen.  Of  these  guppies.

I  am  not  a  guppy  fan/critic  and  have  no  knowledge  on  them  but  they  look  nice..
The  Halfmoon  looks  nice..  your  strain?
 Like  the  heavy  pelvic/pectorals...!!

Great  to  see  you  post  again  on  this  forum  Bishwanathda..
Good  for  betta  fans  like  me  and  others  on  this  forum..

Last  time  we  spoke  you  said  this  forum  is  full  of  c.rap  and  you  will  never  ever  post  anything  here  as  the  moderators  deleted  your  posts  by  shifting  your  collections  of  betta  thread  to  LFS  announcement..
(I  personally  think  that  is  unfortunate  considering  the  number  of  WTB  WTS  posts  where  prices  are  kept  under  wraps..!!  god  knows  why??  maybe  because  newbies  should  not  get  to  know  the  actual  worth  of  goods  and  continue  to  get  ripped  off)     Thumb Up

It  would  be  amazing  to  watch  if  this  update  post  will  be  put  under  LFS  announcement  and  deleted....  or  you  will  continue  your  posts..

 Ashish,

 Your  case  appears  more  like
"The  enemy  isn't  price  discussion,  the  enemy  isn't  commercial  entities,  the  real  enemy  is  not  knowing  how  to  find,  read  and  use  the  vast  information  in  the  archives  of  IAH"

There  is  a  difference  between  useful  informative  threads  and  threads  that  have  absolutely  no  value  other  than  a  hawker  marketing  his  wares  in  the  guise  of  a  hobbyist,  that  too  with  crappy  pictures  like  above  to  boot.
Commercial  dealings  are  outside  the  scope  of  this  forum  as  the  admins  have  made  clear  time  and  again.  There  are  other  forums  or  pages  for  that.  This  site  is  By  the  Hobbyists,  for  the  Hobbyists  and  to  the  Hobbyists.
If  someone  wants  to  market  his  stuff  there  is  LFS  sub-forum.  He  can  use  that  instead  of  cluttering  the  homepage.
WTS  threads  are  kept  under  keen  surveillance  to  prevent  them  being  misused.  That  section  is  only  for  dedicated  hobbyists  who  want  to  dispose  off  his  excess  livestock  or  hardware.
Bishwanath  is  neither  the  first  nor  the  last  person  who  is  going  to  crib  about  our  forum  and  then  slink  back  after  sometime.  Everyone  gets  a  second  chance  to  correct  himself.

Biswanath,  stop  firing  from  the  shoulder  of  young  dedicated  hobbyists.  That  will  get  you  nowhere.  Kindly  PM  me  if  you  need  any  clarifications.

 Nayakji,

Thank  you  for  the  prompt  reply.

Apparently  as  it  seems,  you  are  the  only  Moderator  active  on  this  entire  forum  to  lend  guidance..  Kudos  to  you..

Also,  pls  be  rest  assured  that  I  am  not  the  one  whose  shoulders  can  be  borrowed/misused  for  a  petty  civil  war.
I  was  genuinely  upset  on  that  thread  being  removed  as  it  had  excellent  collection  of  bettas  which  acted  as  a  base  for  hobbyists  like  me  to  refer  the  strain/gene/finnage  etc  and  now  it  is  gone.  Pls  refer  to  the  entire  betta  segment  and  point  out  one  thread  with  such  intensive  database.  Pls  let  me  know  about  the  one  thread  on  bettas  with  such  details/discussions  on  finnage/genetics  and  strains..!!  Would  be  of  great  help..

If  that  was  marketing,  which  i  donot  disagree  on,  but  at  least  it  was  informative.  (I  know  the  same  post  is  on  Facebook  with  heading  :  "Have  me  soon--for  sale")

My  intention  of  pointing  out  WTS  section  is  to  point  out  the  ramifications  it  has  newbiew  etc,  whr  things  are  posted  lucratively  and  on  pretext  of  being  genuine  from  genuine  hobbyists,  newbies  like  me  get  looted..personal  experience  on  multiple  occasions

I  have  heard  from  plenty  hobbyists,  how  they  have  bought  "bundles"  of  java  moss  for  2k,  bettas  for  3k  (point  in  case)..

Honestly,  do  you  think  anyone  will  have  the  courage  to  post  such  outrageous  prices  in  the  open  and  not  in  the  cowardly  cover  of  PMs?

And  if  luminaries  and  stalwarts  like  you  see  such  outrageous  quotes,  wont  it  help  in  better  monitoring?

To  reiterate,  my  case  is  still  the  same  :  “The  enemy  isn’t  conservatism.  The  enemy  isn’t  liberalism.  The  enemy  is  bulls**t."  —Lars-Erik
