Hi  Deepak,

Can  the  solenoid  valve  of  the  co2  setup  be  attached  to  the  my  current  setup  of  timer  based  lights.

 regards

 sunny

Ideally,  you  should  have  two  timer  (1  for  light  and  the  other  for  C02),  but  i  have  a  single  timer  that  feeds  to  both  light  and  Co2.

 Good  Luck.

 Hi  Sunny,

Instead  of  putting  NRV  after  needle  valve,  put  it  near  to  tank.

In  this  case  you  can  avoid  water  reaching  till  your  Co2  regulator  due  to  back  pressure.

You  need  to  buy  two  push  connectors  or  two  connectors  with  barbed  end  and  connect  it  to  your  NRV.

if  your  Co2  diffuser  has  check  valve  built  in,  then  it  is  double  safety  for  you.

The  needle  valve  you  bought  is  of  Indian  type  and  heavier  than  precision  needle  valve  available  in  market.

Put  enough  amount  of  teflon  tape  to  all  joints  to  avoid  gas  leakage.  All  the  best.

 -Senthil

 Dear  Senthil,

The  NV  i  bought  is  anti  rust  but  if  any  problem  regarding  gas  leakage  would  arise  i  would  definitely  change  it.

My  solenoid  valve  has  in  &  out  marking  on  it.  I  am  confused  about  it's  positioning  in  the  co2  setup.  which  marking  (In  or  Out)  should  be  attached  to  the  regulator.

 Regards

Looks  fine.  Remember  about  the  regulator.  Loose  is  off  and  tight  is  full  blast  !!

Connect  to  cylinder.  REgulator  loose  and  needle  valve  tight  and  shut.  Then  open  the  cylinder  valve.  Gauge  closest  to  cylinder  [right  side]  will  show  reading  of  60.  Then  slowly  start  tightening  the  reg  valve  until  left  gauge  shows  2.  Observe  if  CO2  is  entering  your  tank.  It  might  be  but  at  a  very  slow  rate  as  needle  valves  sometimes  do  not  always  shut  fully.  Slowly  start  opening  the  needle  valve  little  by  little  and  wait  for  a  min  after  each  time  you  open  and  observe  until  you  have  a  rate  that  you  are  satisfied  with.  You  should  wait  as  change  in  needle  valve  setting  doesnt  register  immediately  after  turning.

Your  solenoid  should  be  on  during  this  time  forgot  to  mention.  After  this  you  only  need  to  turn  the  solenoid  valve  on  and  off.
