No  worries  Its  easy  to  sep  them.  After  they  are  hatched,  wait  for  5  minutes.  you  ll  see  the  eggs  are  floating  and  shrimps  are  in  the  bottom.  use  a  thin  aquarioum  pipe  and  a  jar  to  suck  them  like  we  take  out  petrol  from  tank.  make  sure  u  use  a  clean  cloth  in  between  the  jar  and  the  pipe.  Thats  it  .

 1)  Can  Hatched  brine  shrimp  can  be  fed  to  adult  small  sized  fishes  like  tetras  or  they  are  only  for  fries?
 2)  And  are  you  feeding  freshly  hatched  shrimps  directly  to  the  fishes  or  just  separating  them  and  keeping  them  for  a  couple  of  days  and  then  feeding?

Also  I  did  not  get  why  to  use  a  cloth  between  the  jar  and  pipe.

 @Ranjit
1)You  can  feed  brine  shrimps  to  other  small  tetras.  Actually  Brine  shrimps  are  so  small  that  bigger  fish  will  not  bother  to  eat  them.
 2)  fresh  ly  hatched  Brine  shrimps  have  nutritious  only  for  24  hours  after  that  there  egg  sacks  are  empty  so  they  have  nothing  left  for  other  fries.
So  Its  better  to  feed  them  to  fries  Before  24  Hours.

I  use  Clean  cloth  just  to  separate  them  from  water.  Like  we  filter  tea  leaf  from  tea.  (  Like  Channy)  Remember  Never  use  soap  to  clean  any  thing  related  to  your  fish.  Keep  them  away  from  your  MOM.

Oh  I  get  it  now   Thumb Up   I  thought  you  were  extracting  the  brine  shrimps  using  the  tube  so  was  wondering  why  the  use  of  cloth.  The  thing  is  you  are  separating  the  water.

And  yeah  I  know  about  soap  ..  I  have  given  instructions  at  home  about  it   Chuckle

Thanks  for  the  great  info  will  definitely  try  this.

 Hi  Ranjit
 You  dont  get  it  Ranjit.
You  have  to  use  the  pipe  to  suck  out  water  from  bottom  where  b  shrimps  are..(Remember  The  shrimps  sinks  and  the  empty  eggs  floats  )  other  wise  you  will  end  up  filtering  both.  And  if  you  put  the  empty  eggs  with  the  fish  they  will  float  forever  on  the  surface  of  the  water.  the  will  be  bad  for  the  fish.  so  avoid  doing  that.
after  seperating  shrimps  and  empty  eggs  you  can  filter  the  salt  water  with  the  same  cloth  again  and  clean  the  bottle  under  the  tap(  get  rid  of  the  empty   eggs)  and  re  use  the  salt  water  for  next  day.  U  can  use  the  same  water  for  a  week.(  U  have  to  use  rock  salt  in  aged,  aerated  water  to  Hatch  B  shripms).
Aeration  should  be  on  till  the  shrimps  hatch.  (  use  a  oxigen  stone  and  sink  it  in  the  bottle  ).

 Deepak.

 Hi  All,

I  have  lot  all  my  cultures  and  would  like  to  start  it  once  again  and  there  seems  to  be  a  quite  a  few  other  hobbyist's  who  require  live  worms  for  their  livestock.

Hence,  I  would  request  everyone  who  are  culturing  live  worms  to  update  there  current  culture  list  once  again  with  their  location  details.

 Regards,
 Surya

 Hi  All,

Thank  to  Muddasir  (From  Hyderabad),  I  have  got  the  starter  culture  for  micro  worms.

The  culture  should  be  ready  by  this  Sunday.  Hobbyists  from  Bangalore  can  collect  it  from  my  home  during  the  weekdays  or  from  "The  Aquarium  Store",  Indranagar  on  next  Saturday.  Starter  culture  for  hobbyists  out  side  Bangalore  can  be  made  available  for  between  50-150rs  (Courier  Charges  and  as  per  actual)  which  will  be  sent  through  DTDC/DTDC  Plus.

Note:  Request  hobbyists  from  Bangalore  to  PM  me,  who  are  willing  to  pick  the  culture  from  the  store  next  Saturday.

 Regards,
 Surya
