A  couple  of  guys  and  myself  have  planned  a  live  fish  food  collection  trip.  The  prize  target  catch  Daphnia,  Tubifex  and  bloodworms.
Departure  will  be  at  5am  from  Adip’s  place  so  as  to  start  harvest  by  6am.
 Those  interested  can  post.
Strictly  no  cameras  will  be  allowed.  No  tourists.  No  spectators.
Dettol,  Glycerin,  good  bathing  soap   and  disposable  clothes  are  recommended.

Was  at  ranganthittu  and  balmuri  falls  last  thursday  with  family  on  a  leasure  trip.  The  water  level  seemed  too  high  to  catch  any  fish.  I  saw  some  killi  fish  but  thats  it.  The  river  water  was  brown.  locals  said  that  the  area  recieved  rain  fall  only  in  the  last  week  this  season.  all  the  rest  was  in  the  catchment  areas.

15  days  back  Â the  boat  ticketing  counter  at  ranganthittu  was  under  water.  Boating  started  from  last  monday.  (  as  claimed  by  the  boatman  at  ranganthittu)  hope  this  helps!!!

Some  road  repair  work  going  on  near  the  nice  road  junction  so  you  may  encounter  slow  moving  traffic  there.....

 Hi  Debarghya,

We  are  not  shy  with  our  fellow  hobbyists.

It  is  our  better  half,  kids  and  immediate  family  members  we  are  concerned  about.

I  for  one  don't  want  to  sleep  with  the  area  street  dog  if  they  come  to  know  ROFL

 Regards,
 Nayak.

This  is  a  great  idea.  I've  collected  bloodworms  near  my  house.  They  thrive  in  the  dirtiest  waters.  Disposable  clothes  is  a  must  or  you  need  plastic  sheets  to  keep  seats  clean.

My  better  half  almost  choked  when  I  came  home  with  some  sludge,  to  harvest  bloodworms  fm  it.  Didn't  allow  me  inside  till  I  disinfected  myself.

Trevor,  great  idea  Thumb Up   hope  to  read  a  writeup;  especially  techniques  employed.  At  least  you  can  take  a  pic  of  the  catch  and  their  habitats.  All  the  best.
