After  long  wait  for  few  weeks,  finally  my  little  monster  arrived.  Having  two  options  to  go  either  for  normal  blue-based  RTG  or  HBRTG,  finally  decided  to  go  with  the  latter.  The  seller  is  very  reputed  exporter  of  quality  asian  arowanas  in  Singapore  and  was  patient  throughout  the  deal  for  answering  all  my  queries  swiftly.  He  reserved  the  classic  bullethead  on  my  special  request.  My  friend  ensured  screening  of  its  tag  number  with  the  certificate  while  its  pickup.  This  15cm  fella  is  currently  in  my  100G  tank  with  my  L333  as  his  companion,  gonna  move  to  225G  pretty  soon.  Still  under  bit  stress  from  last  night's  jetlag.  Very Happy

Thats  a  nice  fish,  though  I  personally  prefer  the  spoonhead!

Do  work  on  some  good  feeding  practice  so  you  can  maintain  him  healthy  and  pump  him  up  well.  DO  keep  an  eye  open  for  DE  and  GC  at  all  times!  Would  like  to  see  him  put  on  weight  and  get  that  level  of  shine  up!

 Nice!!

Sorry  to  sound  ignorant,  but  what  does  the  'HB'  stand  for?  RTG=  Red  Tail  Golden  right?  Not  too  clued  up  on  Arowana  strains,  I'm  afraid...

Nitin,  what  do  you  mean  by  GC?  DE=  Drop  Eye,  yes?

Many  thanks  for  your  appreciation  -  Nayak,  Weylin,  Nitin,  Jithu,  Ashwin  &  Raghu.

 Ashwin,
HBRTG  stands  for  High  Back  Red  Tail  Golden  whose  shine  level  should  extend  upto  5th  scale-level.  If  you  are  very  very  lucky  to  have  dominant  Crossback  genes,  the  shine  may  reach  6th  level  to  give  your  dragon  that  gorgeous  XB  look.  Normal  RTG  has  gold  scales  upto  4th  level  only.
By  GC,  Nitin  means  Gill  Cover  disease  caused  by  strong  presence  of  Nitrates  &  Nitrites  in  the  water.

 Nitin,
The  seller  had  many  spoonys  in  the  lot  but  i  preferred  this  bullethead.  IMO  spoonhead  looks  more  apt  to  premium  reds.
