 Hi,
I  will  be  traveling  to  Mumbai  this  weekend.  Also,  as  I  was  in  lookout  for  a  FH,  was  wondering  if  i  could  utilise  this  to  search  for  FH  in  Mumbai.

If  you  have  any  idea  where  I  can  get  FH  (reliable  shop)  please  let  me  know.

 Thanks  in  advance.

You  can  contact  Mr  Najeeb  for  FH  ,  his  contact  no  is  9223363100.  He  has  some  nice  smaller  size  Thai  Silk  FH  .

 Thanks

Mods:  Do  you  think  this  thread  needs  to  be  moved  to  some  other  forum?  (Cichlids?)
 ------------------------------------

The  two  highly  recommended  dealers  for  FH  are:

 1.  Najeeb  (as  mentioned  above  by  Shiva)

 2.  "7  Seas"  at  Kurla  (E):  Owais  Qureshi  098922  83790  /  097697  97076

 ---

A  question  for  Shiva  (and  other  experts):

When  I  was  looking  for  a  FH  at  Kurla  (E),  they  had  several  FH  at  about  3.5  inches  in  length.  Now,  these  little  juveniles  had  some  impressive  head-growth  (kok)  which  the  seller  pointed  as  the  reason  for  them  being  relatively  expensive.

Doesn't  a  large  (1+  inch  and  nearly  spherical)  kok  in  FH  that  small  (3.5  inches)  actually  suggest  a  high-hormone  dose  rather  than  true  quality  of  the  fish??

In  my  opinion  (and  I  am  not  an  expert),  if  you're  on  a  limited  budget,  it  is  much  better  (and  ethical)  to  gamble  on  an  2  inch  FH  with  good  pattern  (flowers  and  pearls)  and  little  or  no  kok  and  hope  it's  a  male  (for  less  than  Rs1000)...rather  than  going  for  these  hormone-pumped  3.5  inchers  with  huge  koks  (for  about  Rs  2500-3000)  which  might  as  well  turn  out  to  be  female  after  the  hormones  wear  off..

 What  do  you  think?

 Cheers,
 Sid
