No way can we ever hope to catch up with West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
These states are far ahead in breeding fishes and still continue to remain so.
One reason is the lack of abundant supply of natural occurring live food for the breeding and fry in Karnataka. |

I agree with Trevor to a certain extent. It is very true that the way natural live food is found in those three states its almost nil compared to them over here. But if someone was serious about starting a farm he can culture his own live food and at almost no cost. Daphnia which is a brilliant food can be cultured easily. Bloodworms is something I have not heard being cultured but there are ways to do it and I think it is being done in places like Singapore. |
