I  think  these  guys  are  on  sale  in  Delhi  too.  Made  a  foray  to  S.N.  Market  LFS  to  pick  up  some  dwarf  gouramis  and  these  guys  were  sitting  in  a  tank  on  the  upper  floor.  They  looked  like  an  albino  variant.  Or  I  might  just  be  mistaken  altogether  :-P.

The  LFS  also  had  some  Crayfish  too  (Procambarus  spp.)!!  Looks  like  delhi  is  becoming  less  crappy  for  aquarists  lately  :-)!

@auran:  While  it  is  possible  that  the  LFS  in  Delhi  also  had  (has)  Albino  Endlis,  it  is  more  likely  they  were  Albino  Senegals.

@hrishi:  He  is  a  bichir  (Polypterus)  and  not  a  Snakehead  (Channidae)

@Rahul:  Tank-mates  are  one  18  inch  Silver  Aro,  two  12  inch  Florida  Gars,  two  (10  and  13  inch)  Gator  Gars,  one  10  inch  Jaguar  and  one  8  inch  Bala  Shark.   I  am  currently  negotiating  a  deal  for  a  larger  (6ft)  tank..  These  guys  will  be  upgraded  to  a  larger  home  in  less  than  a  month.

@Nitin:  The  only  fish  I  plan  to  sell  from  the  above  mentioned  stock  are  the  Alligator  Gars..(At  least  as  of  now..)

Next  in  the  (monster)  Shopping  list  is  an  African  Arowana  (Heterotis  niloticus)  which  will  definitely  have  to  be  after  the  upgrade  to  the  6  footer.

i  doubt  u  will  be  able  to  keep  an  afrowana  in  that  mix,  not  just  because  of  size  requirements,  but  as  u  have  that  osteoglossum  bicirrhosum,  BTW  be  careful  of  the  niloticus  u  pick,  as  they  are  freaking  aggressive  $%#%  and  capable  of  killing  tank  mates  out  of  the  blue

along  with  the  atractosteus  spatula  u  will  have  to  get  rid  of  the  osteoglossum  bicirrhosum  too,  'cause  by  the  time  u  get  your  180  or  a  220  it  would  have  out  grown  that  tank  too,  i  mean  they  are  supposed  to  get  to  like  30"  in  2  years  and  adult  aquaria  size  is  more  than  40",  unless  he  gets  stunted  badly,  like  most  of  them  here
