 Thanks  Raghu  for  reply.

I  dint  know  the  name  of  rock  but  I  tested  with  white  vinegar.

 Results  are  neutral.

If  u  can  tell  me  exactly  how  to  place  them.  That  will  be  very  helpful.

 Hi  Pavan

Since  the  tank  is  36  inches  i  would  prefer  going  for  a  bigger  drift  wood.
Get  a  few  of  them  and  stack  them  together  such  that  it  forms  a  good  shape.

Keeping  it  on  which  side  of  the  aquarium  will  depend  on  your  choice.....:)

U  could  get  a  lot  many  ideas  on  arranging  the  drift  wood  if  u  Google  for  aquascaping  images.

Further  the  stones  need  to  definitely  have  a  good  texture  &  a  very  good  overall  appearance  so  search  for  some  better  looking  rocks...:)

Also  ensure  that  you  know  what  you  want  to  plant  and  where..............and  then  go  about  aquascaping  your  tank.

 Hope  it  helps

 Anish

Stick  to  the  basic  rules:  you'll  be  fine
 1.   keep  the  front  relatively  free  of  plants  and  decorations  so  you  can  see  your  fish  well
 2.   keep  about  1-1.5  inches  free  from  all  the  other  sides  to  allow  you  to  clean  the  glass  without  disrupting  the  plants  and  decorations
 3.   taller  plants  at  the  back  and  shorter  ones  in  front

other  than  this  forget  layout  suggestions  and  follow  your  heart.   use  any  rock  that  does  not  crumble  and  well  boiled  &  seasoned  wood  &  plants  you  like  (or  can  get  your  hands  on).   since  you're  a  beginner  try  with  the  less  expensive  plants  that  are  commonly  available  and  read  a  bit  on  the  plants'  needs  before  you  buy  them  from  vendors  who  will  try  and  SELL.

have  fun  and  post  pics  as  the  tank  develops
 all  the  best
