HI EVERYBODY, AM TRYING TO SETUP MY FIRST FISH-TANK ENABLED WITH A KIND OF FILTER BACKUP USING MY OLD TANK TO BE SOLELY USED FOR THIS PURPOSE. I AM WITH MY LIMITED KNOW-HOW AM TRYING TO ACHIEVE A UNIQUE QUALITY WATER FOR MY FISHES,WILL TRY TO PROVIDE WHAT I HAVE DONE SO FAR BY WAY OF ATTACHING SKETCHES KINDLY UPON REFEREEING THOSE PROVIDE YOUR VALUABLE INPUT AS REGARDS TO FILTER MEDIA TO BE PROVIDED AT LOWER TANK TYPE & QUANTITY NOT TO FORGET MOST IMPORTANT HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF AFFECTING THE SUCTION & RESULTING RECYCLING I MEAN THE PUMPING SYSTEM, THE FLOW RATE, SAFETY DEVICES, OVERFLOWS,ETC.

The image is too small. Could you attach a higher resolution one.
And usage of all caps is like shouting in forums. Use smaller cases. |

Never done this before Attempting to load few pitcures to give a fair idea. Advice to do this the easier way will be highly appreciated. Amen.

You can upload the images to any image sharing website (Picasa etc). You can use your gmail account to login to picasa. Once you upload the images, then provide the link here.

What you want to keep in this tank?
Are those drainage hole! If those are drainage hole then how you can handle the back sipphoning when power goes? |

hi,
I would like to start with fishes living in communities which i think should not be a problem.
Yes as regards to the holes you are right they are meant to recive the decomposed mterial from the the top & instead of
fine sand i propose to have my bottom of tank to be covered with coarse stones, pebbles, etc. avoiding the risk of
channelizing the fine sand though the the pores & eventually getting choked up, proposing to connect the rear 2nos pipes
to a larger dia pipe connected to a pump below sucking in the impurities to the tank below in the filter media which gets
periodically cleaned, thus filtered recycled water can be repumped through a common pipe to the above tank still working on that
yet to freeze the entire concept. EXPERTS of the hobby your suggestions please. |
