You can use Di-Sodium Edetate to make your PMDD. It will be even costlier than using Prodac product putting all the ingredients altogether. Just use Microsol B which is used and certified by aquarists at IAH.
Btw Microsol -B is not available in Kolkata. I'm also planning to use it. I just requested Rufus to send me a pack of the product which is about to reach me.
Sujoy has also informed me that the following shop stocks Microsol B and can courier you :
GREENZ

I think the planted nuts are using Fertilon now. Just check on it before you go ahead. |

Hi
To Trevor : I have seen that post (sticky: Roll your own PMDD) and i thought if a couple of people pooled in together ... would it be cheaper to roll our own ?
Also, which is a better and cost effective solution: Microsol B or Fertilon ? Where do i get Fertilon ?
Thanks and Regards

Hi Soumi,
Fertilon and Microsol B are both mfd by Vardhaman Fertilizer and seeds, Pune. AFAIMK Ferlilon contains only chelated iron whereas Microsol B contains chelated iron and Zn, Mn, Cu etc. So Microsol B is not only cost effective but also convenient. if you need more iron then add fertilon to microsol b. A pack of Fertilon or Microsol B costs about Rs. 100 each.
Please check the PMDD guide by Madan. He is the guru after all .
As far availability i've already posted two sources. You can ask Rufus, he will be more than happy to arrange it for you or you try the Delhi dealer as suggested by sujoy. |

Arup,
Fertilon and Microsol B are available at bangalore. One of our members will surely be happy to ship it to your place if requested. I personally use a combination of fertilon and few other chemicals. Please check the link below for the combinations that I have been using for over 3 years now.
