I  have  been  treating  the  fish  since  the  past  20  days  now.To  me  it  looks  like  a  bad  case  of  columnaris.  When  i  bought  the  fish  he  had  mild  infection  few  scales  missing  so  i  isolated  him  in  a  smaller  tank  and  began  treatment  in  the  form  of  daily  30  min  baths  in  Methylene  blue  and  salt.  There  was  only  immediate  relief  but  as  soon  as  i  stop/skip   for  a  day  the  infection  got  worse.  I  tried  the  same  type  of  bath  with  Acriflavin  and  salt  but  still  the  same  result.  Since  columnaris  is  a  gram-negative  disease  i  dont  know  what  antibiotic  to  use.He  has  shown  no  signs  of  recovery,  and  lost  almost  half  the  scales  on  his  body  he  is  still  eating  and  very  active  though.

Also  for  some  reason  i  am  unable  to  'add  attachment'  in  this  particular  forum  so  cant  post  the  image  from  my  comp.

 Please  help.

 Craig

 Craig.....
This  is  what  I  do  to  treat  fish  with  Columnaris  mostly  my  discus.....
I  use  PP  but  I  wouldn't  suggest  you  using  it  as  it  is  a  dangerous  chemical,  if  used  inappropriately  will  kill  your  fish.....
I've  tried  Formalin  too  with  excellent  results.....
 The  Treatment-
In  a  quarantine  tank  use  6ml  of  Formalin/10gal  water......Formalin  is  avaiable  at  local  chemists.....I  have  a  bottle  and  can  give  some  if  you  can't  find  it  at  the  chemists.....
1tablespoon/5gal  Aquarium  Salt  (Rock  Salt  "Jhaada  namak"  available  at  your  local  buniya  will  do)......
 An  airstone......

Take  the  infected  fish  &  put  it  in  the  tank  with  the  airstone  on.....
Formalin  depletes  oxygen,  so  it's  necessary  to  have  the  airstone.....
After  20mins  move  the  fish  to  a  bucket  of  water  with-
4capsules  Oxyteraactetelyene  (Teramycin)  availabe  at  the  chemist
4  capsules  Ampoxin  500  available  at  the  chemist
 Rock  salt,  1tablespoon/10gal
and  a  heater  set  at  30C......

Empty  the  formalin  solution  from  the  quarantine  tank  and  move  the  contents  of  the  bucket  into  the  tank  after  all  the  fish  have  been  given  the  20min  dip......

Formalin  destroys  the  bacteria  and  the  antibiotics  (Teramycin+Ampoxin)  heal  the  wounds.....
Salt  and  heat  act  as  a  catalyst....

Your  fish  should  recover  within  2  days.....If  no  results  found  repeat  process.....
 Hope  this  helps
