Since  this  is  your  first  tank,  I  suggest  to  go  for  atleast  2  feet  tank.

Oh  No  You  aren't  almost  done

 No  filter?
Is  the  light  Incandescent  or  CFL  or  something  else
How  are  you  going  to  deliver  the  CO2  to  the  tank?

at  roughly  30  L  I  am  not  sure  you  would  have  volume  for  much  more  fish

 @  Drug

i  think  for  strting  a  planted  tank  i  dont  need  filter  unless  i  use  fish,
light  its  smthing  else  like  nonamania  u  can  chek  his  pic,
for  delivering  co2,  i  have  too  a  syringe  with  a  small  tube  and  connected  to  tank,  il  post  how  i  made  it(CO2  generater, reacter  n  diffuser  all  mode)

fish  il  add  but  i  guess  not  on  same  tank,  as  im  just  strting,so  its  kind  experiment  tank  ,  if  it  works  then  i  make  a  bigger  tank   Rock On

as  powdered  soil  was  not  available  at  that  time,  i  had  to  crush  some  sand  and  add  as  i  was  growing  HC  so  its  the  same.  now  powdered  soil  is  available.
