 Hi,

Which  is  the  smallest  variety  (smallest  leaves)  of  Anubias?  I  would  like  to  buy  one.  Please  let  me  know  if  anyone  is  selling.

 Thanks,
 Amit

I  believe  Anubias  nana  is  the  smallest  variety  of  the  species.

I  have  never  seen  a  bonsai  anubia  till  now  but  have  heard  of  it.I  feel  it  is  normal  nana  grown  in  low  light.  As  anubias  give  smaller  leaves  in  less  light  however  Anubia  nana  pettite  is  a  different  type  of  anubia  itself.when  nana  and  pettite  are  grown  in  same  condition,Leaves  of  Anubia  nana  petitte  will  be  only  1/6th  of  the  size  of  anubia  nana.  Since  you  are  a  newbee  in  anubias  I  would  suggest  you  to  go  for  nana.  If  you  buy  nana  pettite  you  will  feel  it  too  expensive  for  the  size  you  get.  It  is  only  eventually  you  will  understand  the  beauty  of  nana  pettite.  I  use  them  as  foreground  plant  and  must  say  when  compared  to  the  maintenance  cost  of  other  foreground  plants  I  bet  anubia  nana  pettite  is  more  cost  effective.

 Hi  Jabba,

 Thanks  for  the  explanation!
How  have  you  planted  the  petites  in  the  foreground?  Have  you  tied  them  to  something.  Have  you  uploaded  a  pic  of  your  tank  in  any  of  your  posts.  I  could  find  a  lot  of  pictures  on  the  net  but  couldn't  find  one  comparing  the  nana  and  nana  petite.

 regards,
 Amit

You  can  tie  petites  like  below.

 1.  You  can  tie  one  cotton  thread  on  a  small  piece  of  rock.  Then  keep  some  2  cm  of  gap  from  the  rock  and  make  another  loop  where  you  can  tie  the  pettite  then  push  the  rock  inside  the  substrate  and  make  sure  the  petite  rizhome  will  touch  the  sand  properly.
This  will  make  sure  the  petite  stay  without  movement  and  also  the  rock  will  remain  invisible. This  is  how  i  did  my  foreground

 2.  Tie  it  to  a  drift  wood  just  like  that
