 I  have  a  tank  which  is  3  X  1.5  X  1.5  ft
 I  am  using  pressurised  CO2
and  plants  are  like,  hc  cuba,  staurogyne  repens,  hair  grass,  ludwigia  glandulosa,  micranthemum  and  helferi.

 Will  2  X  39W  squazonic  fitting  be  sufficient  ?

 Hi  Abhishek

That  is  a  little  less  for  your  tank.  Would  recommend  39  x  3  at  least  ...  39  x  4  would  be  super

 Hi  Abhishek,

Also  be  aware  that  these  lights  comes  with  10000  Kelvin  rating  tube.  Not  6500  K.  If  you  want  6500K  rating  tube,  you  will  have  to  replace  all  the  tubes.

+1  shelley  ...  the  Kelvin  Ratings  I  got  on  my  fixture  were  12000k.  I  replaced  2  of  them  with  6500k  and  2  with  8000k.  Much  better  growth  now  ...

Another  suggestion  I  have  is  ...  Instead  of  going  for  the  Aquazonic  fixture  ...  Get  an  open  roof  built  and  go  for  the  following  39x2  6500k  T5HO  and  28x2  8000k  T5HO  ...  Thumb Up

 Guys,

Why  is  a  6500K  and  8000K  combo  better  than  a  10000K  one?  I  have  a  4X56W  aquazonic  T5   12000K  lights  and  see  good  growth  so  far.
Wondering  if  there  is  something  I'm  missing  here.

 Thanks
 Vijay

@Vijay  -  Not  that  plants  will  not  grow  in  12000k  ...  but  they  will  grow  a  lot  better  as  close  to  6500k  as  possible  ...

@Mortis  -  The  8000k  tubes  are  Philips  T5HO  ...  got  them  from  a  local  hardware  store

Please  tell  me  where  you  brought  this  6500  k  lights  and  8000k  light.  I  mean  the  exact  location  please.

Also  tell  me  whether  this  is  a  4  foot  fixture  or  a  3  feet  and  is  3  feet  available  there  and  will  they  send  us  through  courier

 Thanks  !!

 @  Sujith,

 Its  3  feet  light.

I  doubt  if  any  shops  will  courier  tube  lights  to  different  parts  of  India.  As  the  item  is  fragile  hardly  any  shops  would  risk  sending  the  tube  lights.

But  if  you  have  any  friends  in  Mumbai  who  can  pack  it  properly  and  send  it  to  you,  you  are  lucky  then.

You  get  it  in  Chennai  and  if  you  enquire,  you  might  get  it  in  thakaraparambu  in  TVM....
Chennai  is  like  hub  for  this  trade  in  South.

Not  sure.  Might  be  you  can  ask  some  LFS  and  they  might  get  it  for  you  when  they  get  fresh  stocks  from  Chennai....
There  are  a  couple  of  online  shops  where  you  might  get  it....
