Hi..I  am  quite  new  to  this  aquarium  plants.  Already  had  a  failure  attempt  with  planted  tank.  Of  course  I  didn't  use  CO2  or  liquid  ferts.
I  have  started  with  a  second  one.  This  time  with  DIY  CO2  and  Ferts.  done  with  macro  and  preparing  micro.  Wltill  be  using  gult(1.5%).  Canister  filter  and  2.8  wpg  lighting.
Have  done  with  initial  scaping.  Please  guide  me  to  success.  New  plants  including  red  bulb,  dwarf  sag  and  Java  moss  will  be  coming  in  second  shipment.

Specs  and  details  please,  at  least  what  you  have  now..
I  feel  the  driftwood  is  too  large,  use  rocks  which  looks  similar..  in  color  and  texture.
use  a  smaller  driftwood  and  don't  push  it  into  the  corner,  use  the  golden  ratio  principle.
The  substrate  is  too  flat..  get  some  unevenness  to  get  some  depth.

Thanks  for  reply  Nidhi....Aquarium  size  is  2x1.5x1.25  feet(around  28  gallon).  I  am  using  2  x  40  watt  lights.  I  have  prepared  DIY  co2(2x2  liter  bottles).  Also  DIY  NKP  in  All  in  one  solution  method.  I  am  running  sun-sun  canister  filter.
 Current  Plants  include:
 1.  Broad  Hair  Grass  -  around  25
 2.  Red  Banana  Plant  -  2
 3.  Bush  Amazon  -  4
 4.  Pellia
 5.  Common  Bacopa  -  around  25.

I  have  already  placed  orders  for  following  plants

 1.  Dwarf  Sagittaria  -  100
 2.  CRYPTOCORYNE  RETROSPIRALIS  Green  -  10
 3.  Java  Moss  [Loose  Bunch]  -  1
 4.  CERATOPTERIS  THALICTROIDES  -  10
 5.  ROCOTYLE  LEUCOCEPHALA   -  25
 6.  DAMINE  LYRATA  -  25

As  you  suggested,  i  will  try  to  get  smaller  drift  wood  and  will  use  similar  rocks.  any  help  will  be  appreciated.

Try  and  get  to  know  the  names  of  the  plants,  because  there  is  no  plant  called  Broad  hair  grass  and  bush  Amazon.
 What  substrate  are  you  using..?
The  lighting  is  Ok.  but  what  kind  of  bulb?
some  of  the  plants  you  have  now  and  have  ordered  will  grow  too  big  for  your  liking.  ex,  like  if  the  Amazon  you  have,  is  the  regular  one.  and  the  10  nos  of  Teratopteris  Thalictroides  is  too  much  for  your  tank..

Sorry..my  mistake...first  one  which  I  mentioned  was  ELEOCHARIS  ACICULARIS  (HAIR  GRASS).  Substrate  is  Aqua  Soil-  NEW  Amazonia.  It  is  full  sprectrum  light(forgot  actual  name  of  company  but  it  is  some  Chinese  aqua  light  company).  what  you  mentioned  is  correct  regarding  the  plants.  Even  i  wanted  only  a  couple  or  3  but  that  was  the  minimum  order  that  I  should  have  placed  Sad.  Thanks  Nidhi  for  you  helping  attitude  Smile.  If  possible,  could  you  please  suggest  me  a  scape  which  I  can  go  ahead  with?  Also,  I  have  it  in  Mysore,  where  i  visit  only  once  in  a  week.  Can  i  re-scape  existing  setup  without  effecting  plants  or  aqua  soil?

 Thanks,
 Raaghu

I  believe  you  were  not  watching  the  ASK  meet  post,  I  collected  lots  of  these  ferns  from  the  wild  and  had  distributed  for  free.

 Hi  Raaghu,

Hello  and  Welcome  to  IAH  !

You  have  already  taken  the  first  step  to  a  good  aquarium  by  joining  IAH.  Just  keep  reading  and  you  will  be  successful.

I  am  doubtful  how  successful  you  will  be  with  DIY  CO2  with  the  plants  you  have  mentioned.
Also  ...  Who  will  take  care  of  the  tank  in  Mysore  in  your  absence  for  every  week  ?

Just  Curious..  You  mentioned  that  your  ordered  the  plants.  Can  you  tell  from  where  ?

Thanks  abhishek.  I  work  in  bangalore  but  I'm  basically  from  Mysore.  My  parents  stay  there  and  my  Mom  will  take  care  of  my  aquarium  in  my  absence.  She  can  turn  on  the  lights  and  also  can  put  the  fretlilizers.  I  can  buy  pressurised  Co2  but  I  doubt  my  Mom  will  be  able  to  set  the  regulator.  Will  try  with  combination  of  DIY  co2  and  Glut  Smile  I  ordered  plants  from  "Aqua  by  nature".  The  plants  I  have  already  used  are  also  from  same  place.  Actually  I  spoiled  it  a  bit  while  carrying  Sad.  Any  help  is  appreciated.

CO2  cylinders  come  with  a  electric  controller.  you  have  have  it  as  a  on  off  switch.  That  will  make  the  CO2  user  friendly  Wink  That  will  help  you  grow  the  plants  better.

there  is  no  such  things  as  layout  for  2  feet  tank,  it  all  depends  on  your  talent,  hardware  and  flora  selection..
Google  for  Planted  aquarium  scapes  in  images  mode  to  get  inspiration..  simple.
