I  am  in  process  of  setting  a  outdoor  bucket,  primarily  for  grwoing  plants.  At  some  point  in  time,  I  plan  to  add  few  guppies  to  prevent  mosquito  breeding.

I  bought  the  garden  soil  that  we  used  for  planting  normal  plants  and  planted  few  plants  using  it  in  pots.  When  I  introduced  these  pots  in  the  bucket,  after  sometime  I  could  see  some  white  worms  coming  out  of  the  soil.  They  look  like  sewing  thread,  maybe  even  thinner  than  that.

What  are  they?  If  and  when  I  introduce  fish  in  the  bucket,  will  they  be  harmful?

I  am  unable  to  upload  photos.  So  any  who  may  have  past  experience  please  share  your  inputs....

One  inch  is  a  good  sized  food  for  tetras.  See  if  you  can  find  some  more.  It  will  be  a  great  live  food.  Smile

I  recently  saw  one  in  my  aquarium.  Don't  know  how  it  came  in.  It  was  swimming  in  the  middle  of  the  tank  and  immediately  my  cardinal  caught  it.

Ok,  I  had  actually  got  sack  full  of  mud  for  planting  garden  plants  and  used  only  some  of  it  for  my  bucket....Let  me  check  out  any  sign  of  life  in  the  soil  that  is  still  lying  around  in  the  sack.
