 Hi,

My  Planted  aquarium  affected  with  ICH  on  cardinal  tetras,  These  11  tetras  are  three  months  old  with  good  color  in  this  tank.  Yesterday  i  added  few  harlequin  rasbora  and  Rams  in  my  tank,  today  most  of  my  tetras  have  ICH,  other  fishes  like  rainbow  and  angel  not  affected.

Constantly  i  maintained  the  temp  @24c  in  my  tank,  added  API  stress  coat  during  addition  of  fish.  Weekly  i  will  do  50%  RO  water  change.  Today  i  increased  the  temp  to  28C...help  required  me  to  git  rid  of  this  ICH  without  affecting  plants.

       1.  I  didn't  add  aquarium  salt  because,  it  may  harm  the  plants.
       2.  My  quarantine  tank  is  10L  volume,  I  can  treat  the  affected  fish...but  the  ich  may  come  to  other  fishes,  will  stay  in  aquarium  ever.
       3.  Weekly  check  my  PH  &  nitrate  readings...Ph  around  6.6  and  nitrate  around  10PPM

Please  provide  more  details  of  your  setup.
Tank  size,  stocking,  CO2  supplemented,high/low  light,  type  of  plants  etc.

ich  usually  affects  stressed  fish.  did  you  check  for  ammonia  levels?

 Any  aggression  observed?

Depending  on  what  plants  you  have  elevated  temps  are  going  to  have  a  negative  effect  on  them.

Try  to  identify  the  stressor  and  once  that  is  sorted  out,  the  fish  should  be  able  to  fight  back  the  infection.

Moving  them  to  a  quarantine  will  probably  stress  them  further.

 Regards,
 Venkat

ICH  is  as  common  as  common  cold..  you  have  already  done  the  right  thing  by  increasing  the  temp  to  28'C,  No  need  to  do  anything  else.
Continue  with  the  same  temp  for  a  week  even  after  the  symptoms  have  disappeared..
