So,  its  from  a  fresh  water..  right?
I  doubt  whether  it  can  be  used  in  marine  aquarium,  if  its  not  made  up  of  calcareous  materials  then  your  water  parameters  will  go  haywire..

maybe  you  can  put  them  in  a  marine  tank,  since  they  come  from  salt  water.
but  they  are  not  live  rocks.  live  rocks  come  directly  from  the  sea  (below  20m  depth)  and  are  loaded  with  bacterias  for  denitrification.
once  out  of  the  water,  the  bacterias  start  to  die...

The  rocks  have  been  collected  from  those  fishermen  who  go  deep  for  fishing  oyster.

So  they  come  from  20  m  depth  and  they  also  have  slight  greenish  formations  on  them.

The  rocks  are  light  in  weight

They  are  calcium  carbonate  rocks.  Can  be  used  in  a  marine  or  cichlid  tank

ok,  but  it  is  important  to  know  how  long  have  they  been  out  of  the  water?
if  too  long  out  of  the  water,  or  exposed  to  sunlight,  then  the  bacteria  in  them  are  dead...they  will  decay  and  cause  real  problems  in  your  tank.

do  you  know  how  long  out  of  water?

It  had  been  1  hour  out  of  water  and  then  I  wrapped  it  in  newspaper  and  brought  it  to  Mumbai  after  48  hours.

What  did  you  intend  to  do  with  the  rock  since  you  do  not  have  a  marine  setup?

Even  if  it  was  liverock  which  i  seriously  doubt,  the  freshwater  would  have  killed  wgatever  life  there  was  on  it.

Live  rock  is  soft.  Can  be  cut  with  a  knife  and  should  be  very  light  compared  to  the  size.
It  us  usually  collected  from  the  reef  only.

 Regards,
 Venkat
