i just made a 3d aquarium background with thermocol and cement,
but when i put it inside aquarium the cement pieces are crumbling , so white sand is looking dirty...i searched internet but it says to coat an epoxy resin, from some other indian site i found i can use araldite to coat the cement...
but my doubts remaining are
1)it is very difficult to coat the araldite resin ,i doing it with a cloth kept in my finger....and coating is not good, im not sure this is the right way
2) any other epoxy resin? i dont know any brand or from where i can get them...or any other material?...some sites mentioned coating with pond sealer(no idea what/where i can get it)
3)im also planning on making another 3d background for another aquarium...but this time i want to try painting it like brown rocks...from internet i found that....i can use some cement colouring additives to get the colour...another option is to coat dark brown and then coat light brown over the projections.....i want to try the 2nd method.....but what paint and what coating(epoxy resin) should i use?
please answer my doubts and also suggest some alternatives than what i learned
