 Hi  Manu,

I  too  have  got  the  discuss  from  Shrey(  indirectly-  which  were  picked  from  Irshad),  and  these  guys  as  shy  as  you  described  yours  to  be.

Well  just  cover  all  the  3  sides  of  the  tank  (Black  chart  paper  would  do)  and  give  them  time  to  settle  .  I  have  2  pairs  (peigon  blood  and  blue  turks)  in  a  2  feet  tank  with  heater  on  30  deg,  1  boyu  internal  filter  and  a  bubbler   running  24/7.  The  tank  is  currently  covered  with  a  dark  cloth  from  all  the  sides.

they  swimmin  fine  and  feedin  ok  now  ,  but  when  exposed  they  either  shy  away  or  feel  threatened.  So,  just  give  them  some  time  to  adjust  to  there  new  home.   As  per  mithul,  keep  doin  wc  regularly  and  they  should  start  getting  used  to  you.

 Happy  Discuss  Keepin.

 Regards,
 surya

 Hi  Manu,
One  of  the  beauties  of  keeping  Discus,  is  in  the  fact,  that  they  gradually  start  accepting  the  "Owner".......to  finally  become  hand  feeders.
They  don't  require  too  strong  of  a  lighting  &  are  pretty  sensitive  to  vibrations.  If  you  have  these  two  factors  taken  care  of......they  will  warm  up  to  you  in  a  couple  of  weeks.
Wild  Caught  Discus,  given  the  long  gestation  period  of  storage,  quarantine  &  transportation.........take  months  just  to  get  back  their  normal  color.
Just  be  patient,  as  it  has  nothing  to  do  with  WHO  sold  you  the  fish,
 Sadhak
