Recently before couple of months I purchased a pair of ordinary bronze corry cats. They seem to be doing fine in my community planted setup digging around the debris.
But for some reason one of them was growing faster than the other and I thought I was lucky to get a pair since females are usually plumpier.
Suddenly 3-4 days back the smaller one developed kind of a bulge in the stomach and started to drift towards the surface losing balance often.I isolated the fish and added a pinch of rock salt(half the dose since these were scale less fishes) and heavily aerated the water.Incidently I had to be away from my home for 3-4 days so this fish wasn't fed as well.Today when I returned morning, the quarantined corry showed normal body without the abdomen bulge and was scanvening the tank floor.
Does someone have any idea what this is? Is my corry normal now to go back into community setup? Will this repeat again?
