Im  not  good  in  cichlids  so  i  neither  know  which  Ramirezi  are  these  nor  the  sex,  though  i  have  my  own  opinion  of  their  sex.  Tried  the  best  to  capture  them.  Still  some  shaky  images.  Need  help  for  sexing  them.  I  presume  them  to  be  pair  as  they  hangout  together  and  can  see  the  breeding  tubes  on  both  and  no  aggression  b/w  them.

 1.  Presume  to  be  Male

 3.  Female  I  suppose  for  next  4  shots

Your  presumptions  are  correct.....Males  are  more  colourful  and  bigger  than  the  females.

I  generally  add  some  of  my  BHM  to  their  tank...  They  will  peck  at  it  in  the  beginning  but  devour  it  after  they  get  used  to  it.  Tetrabits  is  good  too...

Are  live  worms  good  to  ramirezi's,  i  lost  both  short  bodied  ramirezi(although  tetras  are  healthy)  and  i  have  a  strong  perception  that  it  was  due  to  the  live  feed..

Rams  are  very  delicate  fish  and  if  the  live  feed  is  not  good  (not  cleaned  properly/carrying  parasites),  the  rams  will  be  affected..  I  normally  fed  my  Rams  live  feed  once  a  fortnight  but  only  after  a  day  of  cleaning  and  picking  out   dead  worms  and  debris.  Even  then  I  feel  reluctant  to  feed  them   this  but  the  sight  of  the  Rams  attacking  the  worms  is  worth  it  Smile

Avadhoot,  congratulation.  Wish  you  all  the  best.  The  first  thing  is,  just  stop  peeping  into  tank  too  much.  If  possible  stop  that  specific  filter  and  switch  off  the  light.  And  until  the  eggs  hatch,  don't  even  try  to  take  picture.  If  they  got  scared,  within  no  time  they  will  eat  the  eggs.  It  happened  with  me  last  time.

Ok  Done.  I  have  switched  off  the  filter  and  the  lights  are  off  for  the  day.  How  many  days  it  takes  for  eggs  to  hatch??  As  this  is  their  first  time  I  am  not  expecting  much  this  time.
