I have a very annoying snail population explosion in my tank. I've resorted to picking them out but it's not really working.
I was considering adding a few Botia striata (Zebra loach) to keep the snails in check.
Here's my question: All the material I've read says they need a high O2 environment. I realise CO2 content does not affect
the amount of O2 dissolved in the water but considering these fish come from streams which have low dissolved CO2 levels,
will they have trouble adapting to conditions in my tank?
They also require low nitrates levels, so will dosing create problems too?
