Add some dwarf puffer fish (Carinotetraodon travancoricus). They are excellent snail controllers.

Alman, The first plant which you have mentioned for identification is Ceratophyllum demersum. Please avoid the use of that plant in your tank because they grow very fast and it will be difficult for you to control and you may regret for keeping them in the tank. They shed their small leaves very fast and the bottom of the tank will be very dirty.

Its ┬ácabomba. They become reddish and will have  pink flower. They are usually  seen in rivers in Kerala along with a lot of malabar puffer fish swimming happily around them.

How can we distinguish between aponogeton and crypts ....They look very similar

You need to thoroughly investigate on the leaves. The leaves of Aponogeton are very long compared to Crypts.

Pio, Just confirm whether the one you got are crypts itself. What i heard is that,  there are a lot of "Aponogeton" species growing  there ,and for me it seems like "aponogeton".

It seems like echinodorus palaefolius.  LFS call it as Banana plant even though the original banana plant is different.
