in staurogyne repens, there are a few sub species derived due to cultivation.

1. staurogyne repens
the original plant that is found in the wild and is most probably what is seen in the wild. it has more lengthy inter nodes than othe other two.

2. Staurogyne repens "tropica"
like many other plants which carry the name tropica, staurogyne also has a cultivar from the tropica farm that grows more compact and grows more bushy.

3. staurogyne "low grow"
one that has not yet come to india or vastly into the commercial trade globally, it grows like tropica but gets longer leaves with "bumpy" leaves.

so in the tank its highly likely to be a staurogyne repens

easily possible, have seen such setups, light and filtration is most crucial for such a setup and you must not compromise on those two.

if you plan on making a habitat type then make sure the width of the setup is atleast 6' so that you have space to work on the terrestrial portion of the setup.

you can keep a trio of aros along with other habitat correct fish perhaps a ray as well)

lights could be either diffused sunlight or floodlights/halides. that can be suspended.

a sandy substrate is a must for aros or else it could lead to eye issues for the fish, and generally most amazon fish are found with sandy substrate.

if you need help i can drop by and provide you the exact details and requirements you will need.

Till date whoever has kessils in India has had it hand carried from the US. there's no official distributor for them here. So if you know anyone traveling ask them to bring it.

If you want kessils for planted then I can suggyou an alternative. Ignis 70w MH is the same look as the kessils light pendent and comes with one year warranty
