 Hi  all,
Had  visited  an  LFS  right  now, and  the  owner  was  telling  someone  about  crickets  and  mealworms  as  fish  food...He  was  saying  they  are  easy  to  culture...
So  does  anyone  know  where  i  can  get  mealworms  from?  (Pune,Mumbai  preferably)
Also, are  they  easy  to  culture?Does  any  IAH  member  have  a  running  culture?
And  what  about  crickets?  Any  info  on  that?  Does  anybody  feed  crickets  to  fish?

You  got  me  thinking  and  I  just  did  a  google  on  it.

From  what  I  see,  these  appear  to  be  the  larvae  of  the  family  of  beetles(darkening  beetles)  some  of  which  I  think  are  commonly  found  in  our  wheat  or  rice  supplies  sometimes.  Guess  I'll  try  them  out  and  see  if  they  produce  something  worth  feeding  to  the  fish.

 Regards,
 Venkat
