 Hi  All,

My  wild  caught  Julidochromis  spawned  some  time  back  and  only  now  the  fries  (2  of  em)  have  come  out  of  the  cave.  I  suspect  that  the  fries  are  of  two  different  spawns.
The  female  is  actually  polygamous.  Apart  from  this  pair,  It  has  paired  with  another  Julidochromis  transcriptus  that  I  bought  from  Suraj.  Checkout  the  video.
Apart  from  this,  my  Brichardies  have  spawned  and  there  are  atleast  25-30  fries.  I  actually  have  three  pairs  of  it  in  my  60  gallons.  And  only  one  pair  spawned.
Please  note  that  for  none  of  these  fries,  I  offered  any  special  fry  food.  Only  the  regular  hikary  pallets  slightly  crushed.

 Dear  Shriram
Congrats  Clapping  .  Actually  to  me   this  is   the  best  achievements  in  fish  keeping  and  you  must  be  agreed  with  me.However,  I  request  you  to  share  some  data  on  water  conditions  (guess  200  ppm,  pH  8.2-3)  and  foods.  This  will  certainly  help  others  to  achieve  the  same  feet.  Thanks  in  advance.
 Best  regards
 Kaushik

 Thanks  to  all  of  you...
Today  I  noticed  that  a  fresh  batch  of  brichardies  have  appeared  and  the  previous  batch  is  eating  well  on  hikari,  they  are  now  about  1/4  of  an  inch.  The  best  part  is  that  the  old  batch  does  not  seem  to  harm  the  new  batch.  No  new  Julies  seen  though   Sad.
 Kaushik,
The  parameters  are  same  as  given  in  the  below  thread.  I  left  a  lot  of  algae  to  grow  on  the  substrate  and  rocks  when  the  spawning  happened.  It  is  indeed  the  best  experience  in  fish  keeping.

Headbanger,  I  do  not  sell  fishes,  but  I  don't  mind  selling  some  for  the  cash  inflow  to  keep  the  hobby  up  Wink.  But  I  have  to  first  give  a  few  to  my  brother  who  has  already  requested   Smile.  Let  them  grow  bigger  and  we  will  see  how  many  survives.
BTW,  If  anybody  wants  auratus,  blue  morph  fries  and  juveniles,  please  come  down  and  pick  them  up  for  free.  These  guys  are  breeding  like  rabbits,  although  I  do  not  separate  them  from  the  main  tank,  they  still  seem  to  survive  in  huge  numbers.  Currently  have  more  than  50....

Pictures.....  I  have  a  cannon  A50  (or  something  like  that  Smile  with  3  Megapixel  resolution).  The  pictures  do  not  come  great  in  this  camera.  Apart  from  that  my  tank  is  in  the  balcony  causing  a  lot  of  glare.  These  are  some  real  crappy  pictures..
