 Hi  Surya,
Please  provide  the  tank  and  the  accessories  specification

The  tank  layout  is  good,  please  take  note  of  two  things.
 1)  the  metal  top  will  start  coroding  very  soon.  please  get  a  wooden  hood  made  for  the  tank.
 2)  Please  get  rid  of  the  UG  filter.

 Hi  Surya,
I  understand  mechanical  filteration  is  just  like  nitrite  factory.  think  twice  before  you  use  it.
Aquascaping  is  looking  more  like  pile  up.
you  are  bound  to  have  dead  spots  on  extreme  right  side.

make  islands  instead  of  continues  rock  set  up.

I  only  said  what  I  felt.  you  are  the  best  judge.
 regards

 Hi  Surya,
 Good  start.

Your  rock  placement  needs  some  work,  try  to  make  it  in  such  a  way  that  least  amount  of  rock  touches  the  sand,  you  can  use  some  PVC  structure  to  elevate  the  rocks,  also  make  sure  the  structure  is  sturdy,  you  can  use  some  zip/cable  tie's  to  secure  it.

What  is  the  depth  of  your  sand,  i  feel  that  you  have  too  much  sand  unless  you  want  ot  go  DSB  method,  if  you  go  with  the  deep  sand  bed  method  ...  you  cannot  use  a  under  gravel  filter.

I  assume  that  you  are  going  in  for  a  FO(fish  only)  marine  tank,  in  that  case  you  can  use  a  UGF  since  fishes  are  not  as  sensitive  to  nitrates  as  invers,  If  you  plan  on  getting  anemone  in  the  future  ..  i  think  you  need  to  be  better  prepared  by  getting  rid  of  the  UGF  and  reducing  the  depth  of  the  sand  bed.

post  here  if  you  have  any  doubts.

 Hi  Tarun,
I  guess  everyone  learns  from  experience  &  most  importantly  from  the  experienced.  So  I  thank  you  for  your  expert  advise  &  suggestions.
Could  ypu  please  elaborate  on  a  mechanical  pump  being  'a  nitrite  factory'  &  what  are  'dead  spots'.  Are  these  the  the  spots  where  water  circulation  wont  take  place?
I  guess  your  are  suggesting  that  the  'mountain  range'  look  must  be  got  rid  off  &  instead  have  islands  by  keeping  space  between  each  'island'.  The  right  side  has  one  of  the  powerheads  &  the  piling  of  rocks  has  been  done  to  hide  the  powerhead.  I'm  a  little  apprehensive  about  all  the  intricacies, because  its  my  beginning   &  I  sure  want  to  have  everything  right  before  I  add  the  fishes.  Thank  you.
 Regards,
 Surya.

 Hi  Rahul,
I  intend  to  have  anemones  in  time,  especially  when  I  find  that  the  tank  is  stabilized.  I'm  a  litlle  surprised  w.r.t  UG  filter  as  I  thought  its  a  necessary  part  of  a  marine  set  up..&  here  I  find  that  everybody  wants  me  to  get  rid  of  it  -  no  offense  intended. With  the  UG  filter  embedded  within  the  sand  bed,  the  height  is  approximately  4"  -  5".  With  the  live  rocks  in  place  my  obvious  choice  was  to  have  a  FOWLR  set  up  &  later  on  adding  invers.
I  also  didn't  understand  what  you  meant  by  'least  amount  of  rock  touches  the  sand'.  I  just  have  about  3  dead  rocks  on  which  the  LR's  rest  on  the  left  side   &  one  in  the  right  corner.  What  kind  of  a  PVC  structure  can  be  used  inside  the  tank  for  elevation?  Wouldn't  that  be  an  eyesore  to  the  natural  look  ?  Also  I  didn't  understand  the  zip/cable  tie  application,  so  could  you  please  guide  me?  Thank  you.
 Regards,
 Surya.

You  need  to  do  a  lot  of  reading,  I  suggest  www.wetwebmedia.com.

What  is  the  function  of  Live  rocks  &  UGF  ?

both  provide  biological  filteration,  LR  also  helps  in  removing  nitrates  whereas  UGF  does  not  remove  nitrates.  So  let  your  LR  do  the  work  they  are  ment  for  and  remove  the  UGF(UGF  traps  a  lot  of  gunk  in  the  sand  unless  its  a  reverse  UGF  with  a  prefilter)

I  would  recomend  only  2"  sand,  if  you  know  what  you  are  doing  and  want  a  deep  sand  bed  then  go  for  it.  i  would  read  some  about  it.

you  can  make  a  PVC  structure  like  Steps  and  place  you  LR  on  it  so  that  least  amount  PVC  is  seen,  eventually  all  the  PVC  will  be  covered  by  coralling  and  look  natural.

you  can  use  fishing  wire  or  zip  tie's  to  secure  your  rock  structure,  you  can  drill  small  holes  in  the  LR  and  run  the  wire  through  it  to  secure  it.

 Hi,
Haven't  yet  decided  on  a  chiller.  What  do  you  suggest?  At  present  I  have  3  Azoo  coral  blue  20W  lights.  Do  I  need  to  add  anymore?
 Surya.

hi  surya  tanks  looking  great,  though  id  be  a  little  worried  about  some  dead  spots.  give  us  some  details  about  the  water  circulation  and  powerheads.  id  suggest  removing  the  UGF  as  its  only  going  to  build  up  problems  one  the  setup  matures.
