Do  such  petitions  really  work  ?

I  must  accept  that  I  did  sign  a  few  of  them  couple  of  years  ago  but  never  saw  any  action  taken  by  who  so  ever.
 Sad

Even  when  the  PM  says  "Jai  Hind",  he  sounds  like  he's  going  to  fall  asleep  the  very  next  second  -  Negative  Body  Language  negates  any  message,  be  it  condolences  or  passionate  speech  &  makes  it  appear  like  another  formality.

The  recent  incident  on  security  lapse  at  CST  shows  that  the  police  are  still  taking  matters  very  lightly.

 Personal  recent  experiences
At  Pune  Rlwy.  Stn.  the  Metal  detectors  are  present  &  one  is  supposed  to  step  through  to  enter  the  station.  Even  with  5  police  personnel’s  around  (busy  chatting),  they  never  ensure  that  people  walk  through  nor  gives  any  attention  to  the  beeps.

And  this  one  is  after  the  Mumbai  Blast.  At  Yesvantpur  Rlwy.  Stn.  you  are  suggested  to  walk  through  the  Metal  Detector  by  an  armed  RPF,  however  the  Metal  detector  is  switched  off  or  gone  Kaput.

The  PM  can  give  a  long  speech  to  address  the  Police,  politicians  can  resign,  but  unless  it  comes  from  within  them,  all  efforts  &  petitions  are  futile.  The  Armed  forces  personnel’s  are  instilled  with  courage  &  intelligence  to  react  with  the  right  attitude  during  their  trainings,  which  is  not  seen  much  with  police  personnel’s.  I  fail  to  understand  why  do  the  police  have  to  rely  so  heavily  &  wait  for  backup  from  the  Commando  or  armed  personnel’s  to  carry  out  such  operations.  They  are  not  even  well  equipped  to  protect  themselves,  most  police  personnel’s  did  not  have  a  bullet  proof  vest  during  the  recent  operation  &  a  few  who  had  the  privilege  to  wear  one;  these  over  confident  experienced  officers  lost  theirs  lives.

The  opposition  (be  it  anyone)  only  awaits  such  situations  to  start  allegations.  We  know  they  too  could  have  not  done  much  about  the  whole  scenario.  They  would  have  played  on  the  same  tunes,  worrying  more  about  their  personal  security  &  smiling  their  way  to  the  banks  once  they  have  got  our  votes.

The  privileged  ones  with  the  bullet-proof  vests  rarely  go  in  the  line  of  fire.  These  are  mainly  the  desk-job  officers  of  the  higher  ranks  whose  only  line  of  action  is  signing  papers  and  mouthing  off  their  sub-ordinates.

 Dear  all
There  is  a  big  difference  between  our  might  and  did.  The  "Chalta  hai  "  attitude  pushing  us  toward  this  chaotic  situations.

 Guys,

I  don't  know  if  petition  works,  but  this  appeal  in  today's  TOI  did  manage  to  catch  my  attention.

 Please  check  this  out  -
and  I  am  sure  this  would  quell  any  doubts  in  each  of  us,  about  what  we  need  to  do,
in  these  painful  and  agonising  moments...

this  petition  is  for  the  cynic  people  like  me,  who  do  not  give  away  their  professional  life  and  join  politics  but  Just  keep  on  imagining  that  the  country  will  prosper  by  blaming  the  politicians.
If  you  just  think  rationally  the  problem  with  the  country  is  not  politician,  not  corruption,  not  terrorism,  not  poverty,  not  unemployment....  but  a  pool  of  so  called  educated  people  who  knows  how  to  attain  different  educational  degree  but  haven't  learnt  to  behave  like  educated.
I  think  we  must  stop  expressing  Our  FALSE  pride  of  being  INDIAN.
